Questions

I have photoshop elements 2021.  When I click on the icon the little blue circle appears, go around for a few seconds then disappears and the program does not open.  Any advice on how to fix this?I have also tried re-installing the program, that isn't even working.Thanks

Hello. This is my first post here. I am currently running the latest version of Big Sur on the 16 GB version of the 16" MacBook Pro.When I try and use selection tools on photos or graphics, the image and tool bars disappear leaving only the brush. I cannot see what I am trying to select on screen as it is turned to gray. Is this a known issue? Are other users experiencing this? I do not recall issues using this on my former 2013 MacBook Pro. Thanks, Chris

I am not an expert, but know how to cut out a flat shot to then go on my website, but now if i look at the image on my webpage there is what looks like a very faint outline of a box, which i need to remove.  Would anyone be able to tell me how to sort this out in very plain English. I am using the trial edition but I have some basic questions which I have not seen addressed in tutorials or help files. I have my photo in folders on my PC, organized by year. They could benefit from editing (and possibly further organization) provided by Elements. I want to keep the folder-by-year structure. In editing a sample photo, however, I noticed Elements wants to save photos (1) with its own file extension (2) and to the Adobe cloud (as opposed to OneDrive, which I use) and (3) organize photos within the program. I do not want to keep buying Elements, or have my heirs do so, to be able to access my photos. I want to keep my photos in a non-proprietorial format, in my folder structure, and on OneDrive (not Adobe; I do not want another subscription storage service). So how do I do this with Elements, or is it the wrong program for my needs?

Die DVD mit der Serien-Nr. liegt mir vor. Habe diese auch bei Adobe registriert. Die Installation funktioniert leider nicht - ich denke es könnte auch die DVD kaputt sein.Wer kennt sich damit aus?Kann ich die Software überhaupt auf WIN10 verwenden?Wenn ja, wie kann ich mir die Software ersatzweise per Internet herunterladen? Gruß Uwe

I've Adobe Photoshop Elements 2021. Color balance feature is really needed! It's very hard to operate without  color slider feature. How could I get it? What to do?

I use PSE 12 which has both Photo Mail and Email Attachments as options for sharing photos. I'm interested in upgrading but I see Photo Mail (where photos are embedded in emails) no longer appears to be a feature in PSE21, just Email Attachments. I'd like to know what the last version of PSE is that still offered Photo Mail as a featu re. And, what was the reason for dropping the feature? Thanks.

A large number of my pictures are scans of analogous originals (prints, negatives). Often, I am unsecure about the precise date of the event depicted in such scans and would like to be able to input a date range in one of the date metadata. Is there a way in Elements to specify a standard size image that is not one of the ones automatically displayed?  That is, I want a 5x8.5 images, not a 5x7 image.  Is it possible to add to the existing list.  Right now I use "custom" to get this size, but I have to do it every time I print this size.

I JUST UPDATED TO ELEMENTS 15 AND THE CURSOR WOKED WHEN I OPENED THE PROGRAM THE FIRST TIME IN A MESSAGE TO BACK UP MY FILE.  I BACKED THEM UP AND REOPENED ELEMENTS AND I COULD NOT SEE THE CURSOR.FURTHERMORE THE CURSOR IS OPERATIVE IN PHOTO EDITOR BUT NOT ORGANIZERI USE A WINDOWS OPERATING SYSTEM AND A KENSINGTON SLIMBLADE TRACKBALL AND HAVE NO OTHER ISSUES WITH MY TRACKBALL.HELP, I CAN'T USE THE PRODUCT

Hallo habe auf meinem iMac Adobe Elements installiert und das erste Mal eine Seriennummer, die ich beim Amazon Kauf erhalten haben für das Downlad eingegeben. Nun wollte ich mit dem Programm arebiten und werde wieder nach der Seriennummer gefragt. Jetzt habe ich sie nicht mehr und kann somit nicht mit dem Programm arbeiten. Was tun?  

I have the trial version of Elements 2021. I'm not able to save the GIFs created by the 3D moving picture enhancement. Is this just a limitaion of the trial version which is liftrd with the purchase of full version?

I am testing a new installation of PSE2018 on iMac. I set some tags in Organiser and wrote 2 successfully to a photo file. I deleted one in Organiser so the thumbnail when queried had one remaining tag. I wrote the tags again to file expecting the single tag to replace the previous two. But the metadata in the Info panel showed both the two remaining. How do I align a file's previously written tags to reflect changes (additions and deletions) in the tags known to Organiser's catalogue database - all using Organiser?

Everytime I backup My Catalog, a duplicate shows up in the directory for each item.  This is making the My Catalog get bigger each time.  How can I avoid the backup option making these duplicates?  My Catalog now has 71,064 items, the actual number of photos I have is about 23,300, the total showing in the Elements Organizer is 21,730. Looking at My Catalog each photo is there 3 times.  The duplicates are renamed picture.1.jpg,  picture.1.1.jpg, and picture1.1.1.jpg. I'd like to backup and restore without the program making more duplicates.  How can I get rid of all of these duplicates to make the My Catalog directory a normal size without the duplicates? How can I do this? Why does the program even create duplicates? Now that they're there how can I get rid of the duplicates. Is there a setting to correct this? I've read all the troubleshooting articles but none of them address this problem. I'm attaching photos of how the items l

I recently purchased a new laptop and had to buy the Photoshop Element 2021 through the MS Store.  I am trying to create a watermark but cannot get the Define Brush to work, it stays greyed out.  My pixel size is not too big as I chose 1000x200.  Tried decreasing to 800x200 but still can't choose it.  I'm getting very frustrated as I was able to create a test twatermark on my older version (v6) on my previous laptop.  What am I doing wrong?

My PE8 does not work any more on my Mac since I updated my OS to 10.13.6 and it has 64-bit system. I suppose my only option is to get a 64-bit version of PE, but can I download it for free or do I have to buy this new version?And if I may download a substitutive PE for free, what version would it be? The oldest I suppose but that would serve me fine! But I believe I have to buy my new PE.My PE8 came along with my Canon scanner, included in the purchase 

I have bought elements 2021 for a relative and want to know if they can sign in to my account and download it on their machine?? I thought I could send the code but it appears not.

Hi,I have a new install of Photoshop Elements 2021 on a new Win10 PC.After importing *.jpg files from a Samsung phone, only some of the photos are shown in the Organizer view, even if all photos are stored in the folder.However, when using the Photo Editor, all photos are shown correctly in the File Open dialogue. I opened one of the "hidden files" in Photo Editor and saved it with a different name, this photo then displays in Organizer.I have checked that View/Hidden Files/ is set to Show All Files. Any suggestions?
