Question

One PC with two user accounts, using one license but separate photo catalogs.

I have one PC, Windows 11, with two user (spouse) accounts using Elements Organizer with one shared Adobe account. Installed Elements 2024 and it installs globally for all users under the same Adobe account. When importing photos for one user into PS Organizer, then logging into the 2nd user, the photos are there as well. Remove them, and they are removed for the other user.

This is what I want to do, and how do I accomplish this;

- One PC with two Windows User Accounts

- Use Photoshop Elements Organizer "with one Adobe account" on both Windows User Accounts "on the same PC"
- Each user having access only to photos on their own Windows profile. Not by using "Albums".

- Have separate catalogs and backups for each user of their own photos on the same PC machine using the same Adobe account.

I hope I've explained clearly and have not been too confusing. Everything I've searched for is for "two computers" not one single computer with two user accounts and one Adobe account shared between them.

I am a retired lawyer so I am not allowed to give legal advice.  However, I disagree with @Peru Bob's legal opinion.  😜

That would violate the EULA.

@Vito33917915s46i, I suggest you start a new thread/discussion and let us know what difficulties you are having getting started.  Both Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements use the Organizer.  This program is a database that helps you find photos and videos stored on the hard drive of your computer.  Once you have imported the files into the Organizer's catalog/database, you can select the files you want to edit and send them to the editing program - in your case Premiere Elements.

I've never tried this myself, but you should be able to log into each Windows User Account and create a catalog (under File>Manage Catalogs) using the Catalogs Accessible by the Current User option:

I assume each catalog will be created under each user's account folder structure rather than the default location which is C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs.

I'll have a look, when previously trying to load catalogs from 2021 version, it loaded for both users. I don't recall seeing that option but I'll dig around there again.
