Question

Can't verify subscription status

I am a high school video production instructor. We have Creative Cloud and all the normal video app installed on our iMacs, and as long as we are on the school network, we have not problems. When we are off-network, however, we cannot run the programs and get the "We can't verify your subscription status" error message. If I am able to log in through Creative Cloud, it seems like we can keep running the programs throughout the day, even if we're off the internet, but the next day they don't work again.

Most of the time this isn't a problem because I can use my phone as a mobile hotspot and get them logged in, but next month I will be running two video production competitions for SkillsUSA with teams from all across our state. It's in a convention center with no internet access, and students are not allowed to bring any mobile devices to the competition. Is there anything that can be set in Creative Cloud to NOT require it to log in daily to verify the subscription?

The offline grace period should be 30 days before you start getting a notice and then after that you should be able to just dismiss the notice for a longer period of time and keep using the software offline. You can read that here - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/internet-connection-creative-cloud-apps.html

I wonder if something else might be going on. Are the computers on a VPN or anything since you are in a school setting?

No, not on a VPN. On Friday, on the computer we were taking to a competition, I logged into Creative Cloud while we were on the network, made sure to open the programs we were going to need from the CC menu, and everyting worked fine. Pulled the ethernet cable, rebooted the computer, and the programs still worked. The next day when we logged in to the same user account on the computer, not on the internet, we kept getting the can't verify message. The only options are to try again, or to quit the program... We have annual educational site licenses. Is there something else I need to do in Creative Cloud to allow the programs to run off network?
