Missing Media

I saved a project (intentionally making sure I clicked CNTRL + S before closing Premiere). When I opened up project again, it says I'm missing media!  Why would that happen? Is there a way to revert to .prproj file I last closed?

    Correct answer Ann Bens

Did you move media on you hard drive or renamed folders.

    Look for an auto save.

why is the most correct version showing as Auto-save file #15 which is older than the newest files?

Because it's the project opened last.

    By the way,

I put the folder back to it's original place on the computer, will Premiere find the media?

    It should.

Bob you are confusing me (cannot delete message)

Yes, Ann, I posted the wrong link.

    The correct link:

    Forget about Elements.

Go to your Project folder on the hard drive and look for a folder called Adobe Premiere Pro Auto-Save.

I just remembered, I DID move a folder. [Edited by moderator.  You know why.]! If I put the folder back to it's original place on the computer, will Premiere find the media?

Are you using Premiere ELEMENTS (this is the PRO forum)

I am using Premiere Pro CC v12.1

These are the auto-save files. For some reason, the most recent saved file (#20) is dated two days before today's saved file (#15).

You cannot revert the project once saved.

You look for an older project as in auto save.

Backups that are automaticly saved to your main folder.

What is "Adobe Elements"? Is that different from Premiere Pro?
