Premiere Pro playback is frozen/not working

Everytime I load Premiere, I can press the play button or Space and get a fine playback a few times, but after around 10 times it just suddenly doesn't work. The play button doesn't turn to the stop button. I get no error message. Scrubbing stops working. If I open an individual clip for playback the playback screen is glitched out.

The program is still running though. I can still save my file. But then when I go to close Premiere, it's unresponsive and has to force quit. How do I fix this?

"Source" or "Source Settings" is referring to the type of media you are bringing into premiere pro/the timeline.
i.e. dimension, codec, frame rate etc

 

Also do these settings match your timeline settings?

IF Windows

Do not count on Windows to be fully up to date when it comes to device drivers
Go to the vendor site to be sure you have an updated driver for your graphic adapter

•ATI Driver https://www.amd.com/en/support
There are also intermittent reports that the newest driver is not always the best driver due to driver bugs or compatibility issues, so you MAY need to try an earlier driver version

I'm using the latest version 14.0 (2020) and i'm using Windows 10

Specs:

- Graphics card: Intel (R) HD Graphics 615

- Chip type: Intel (R) HD Graphics Family

- RAM: 8GB
