I know the issue about an HHComponentActivator  message appearing when trying to preview a topic has been previously discussed on the forum, but the solution offered only solves half of the problems that I am having.Copying the eHlpDthm.js file from a blank project as suggested resolves the issue with the message appearing, but as one other user indicated in their post, any link in the topic that should display in an auto-sizing popup window does not appear. Copying the file does not resolve this problem for me. I used the View Source option when previewing a topic to look at the html code and noticed that the topic name in the path for the popup is replaced with an another name such as "rlt1F76" instead of "print_option." The name changes each time I preview the topic. Selecting the topic to display in a frame does not have the problem, only auto-sized and custom-sized popups.I am using RoboHelp 10, specifically version 10.0.1.292.Thanks in advance for your help.

People,I am working in a project that has three separate TOCS. Some topics are only included in one of the TOCs, but are showing up in the Search results for Webhelps for the other two.The topics ARE excluded from the TOCs used to generate the webhelps in whose Search results they appear.The topics, and their entire content, are marked using a conditional build tag that is used to exclude them from the webhelps in whose Search results they appear.I have thoroughly investigated to ensure that these topics  ARE NOT referenced by hyperlinks in any of the topics that do appear in the webhelps in whose Search results they appear.I have set the Search options to Enable External Content Search = OFF and Exclude Baggage File Types from Search to all be checked.And still these topics - that have nothing to do with the webhelps I am generating except be in the same Robohelp project - are found by the Search.Do any of you know what I am doing wrong? We have been testing the Responsive HTML5 layouts in RoboHelp 11 . These can be selected by clicking "Gallery" in the "General" section of the "Responsive HTML5 Settings" dialog. I assume that these layouts can be used commercially, and that they are not just for demonstration purposes. I assume that this is the case, but would like confirmation of this from Adobe please. I have a single page PDF which I want to print 2 copies on one side of the page. I have tried various options available with the printer and settings in Adobe reader and Adobe Reader Pro. I found it will print 2 pages on one side, but not a duplicate of the single paged document on one side.  I have tried various programs to do this, and the only way I have found it can be done is if it was a 2 page document. We have a lot of single paged documents and want to be able to print 2 to a page to save costs of printing.

Hi I have a project with just textual paragraphs and tables. I am generating Responsive HTML5 output from RH11 and using PhoneGap Build to publish the Android app (.apk) file.I have uncommented the settings.setBuiltInZoomControls(true); line of DefaultActivity.java file in C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 11\RoboHTML\MultiscreenExt\NativeApps\Android\PhoneGapApp folder as mentioned in the product documentation. But I am not able to pinch and zoom the content on my Android devices. Is there anything else I need to do? Please advise.Sreekanth

We use a CSS file to add character styles in some of our content. This works OK using WebHelp output, but when we output to Responsive HTML5, angle brackets are not displayed. Here is the code in the CSS file:span.KeyName {  font-weight: normal;  font-variant: small-caps;}span.KeyName:before {  content: "<";}span.KeyName:after {  content: ">";}This part of the CSS file should just set the relevant content to small caps, and wrap angle brackets around it. When you look at this style in the Styles dialog, it does not display the angle brackets in the preview window, so perhaps this is a clue to what is causing the problem. We are using RoboHelp version 11, but get the same problem with version 2015. Any advice would be appreciated.

I am using RoboHelp 11. I need to import a glossary file. I find the glossary file in my Project Manager, click file>Import> but there is no Glossary in the options. Any ideas?

I have created merged projects in RoboHelp 11. The table of contents and the Start page display OK in Firefox and Chrome, but in Internet Explorer version 11, the table of contents does not display, and the message "Internet Explorer restricted this webpage from running scripts or Active X controls" is shown. Clicking "Allow blocked content" enables the Start page to be displayed, but the table of contents is not shown. If you refresh the page in Internet Explorer, everything is displayed without any problems. Can anyone suggest a fix for this please? Is it possible to refresh the page automatically perhaps? I'm working with RH 9. I produce Webhelp projects based on FM related books.This new book is based on existing projects and formats.But one thing is new: There are many text insets.My problem: The file that includes text insets has corrupt crossreferences.They are underlined and have the right color, but do not work. Every cross reference starts with  What can I do? Any known work around? Is it a known problem?

First, I'm sorry if I post this in the wrong category, but it seems the general RoboHelp category has been removed.I recently upgraded from RoboHelp 11 to RoboHelp 2015 on my Windows 2008 computer. I installed the available updates, patch 2 I believe, so there are no updates that I'm currently missing.I have converted my project, but when I started to work in RoboHelp I noticed that it responds very slowly. I'm really just trying to add new topics and edit existing ones; I haven't tried creating any output yet (normally, I would use the Microsoft HTML Help and WebHelp options). I have not experienced any problems with my projects before upgrading. Hello,I'm trying to create a project template that can be reused and has files, topics, images, etc. that need to be uniform across all authors and projects. I've learned to import topics, etc. rather than copying in Windows Explorer. I haven't figured out a way to import images, either.How do I get image files from a previous project? I can get the images in the "project" when I view in Windows Explorer, except when I open the template project in RoboHelp, they're nowhere within the project. I can get to the the images in the Image name field using the open folder icon and looking in the root folder level, but nowhere in the image folders within the project (i.e., select the drop down arrow in the Images in project folders heading.Is there a better way to do this? Dear RH experts,I'm creating an HTML5 Help system for a web-based software application that has two versions: Cloud and On-premise. The Help systems will have some shared content and some product-specific content. I could set conditions on the topics and generate two separate Help systems. But my developers would like a more elegant solution. They don't want duplicated content. Instead, they want a single output, and they want to use scripts and tags in topics to identify content that should be displayed or hidden dynamically, depending on the product version. The script would run when the Help system is launched, and the appropriate content would be displayed based on the tags.Does anyone know how to do this? Would this have any implications for Search? My bookmarks, when assigned, are a horrible shade of green and underlined.  I can not find prefernces to change the look of the bookmarks in the CSS or anywhere else, all I know is that I don't want the expletive deleted bookmarks to be green and underlined. I want the bookmark to look like any other text.Where in the tanj are the bookmark "look" preferences?I have a deadline and I can't release the help files looking like this.- Dana Kincaid

After spending a fair amount of time searching for way's to improve my RH efficiency, I've covered a lot of ground with things like Macro Express, (THANK YOU Peter Grainge) a specific Advanced FAR tool, (it took me FOREVER to find a sturdy program w/ hundreds of FAR's out there) and a few others.There is one thing though that I've been having problems with lately that I''m hoping the trusty Forums can answer. In recent projects I've been encountering an increasing number of larger images, many over 200px high. I've set a sort of standard for anything above this height to be placed into a DHTML Drop-down Hotspot. I quickly setup a toolbar with just 'Insert Image' & 'Create DD Hotspot' buttons, and flip between CTRL+G and the toolbar for images and DD's. I got frustrated at having to hotkey or use the toolbar and navigate to the top level folder every time to find my icoCamera.jpg.Is there a way, tool, or sort edit to change and or set the default folder path when inserting an image

Hi, has anyone else experienced problems displaying WebHelp output in the Microsoft Edge browser in Windows 10? I have found that that CSS styles are not being used in any of the topics, and images are being blocked. When I try to access the Start page, it is being redirected to whnjs.htm. The WebHelp content displays correctly on other browsers on windows 10 (IE, firefox, chrome, etc.). Any advice would be appreciated.

Though Snippets are good reusable components, there are requirements where one complete topic would be required as a reusable component. Can we use HTML in placeholder? If yes, what is the syntax of it? Request you to help me with it.

Hello,I need to create both a WebHelp project file and a printed document file. I'd like to first generate to Word and then create the pdf in Word. Is there some way to generate the help file into a specified Word template and have the styles in RoboHelp convert to Word styles?Thanks,MDawn

Hi,I'm using RoboHelp 9 and I've inserted couple of Captivate videos in between text. When I generate WebHelp I see that these videos play automatically when the page is opened. There is a play bar underneath the video through which I can pause the video, but I was wondering if there is a way to disable autoplay function of these videos? I've tried inserting:autoplay="false" <param name="play" value="false" />But it doesn't seem to work.Can someone with expertise in HTML please help?Thanks!

We have a web-based application developed in Java with Bootstrap. Using RoboHelp 11 we generated WebHelp and were able to call it from the application using the JavaScript file RoboHelp_CSH.js that came with RoboHelp 11.When we chose to generate Responsive HTML 5 the help window did not appear. We think the problem may be with the JavaScript code inside the Responsive HTML 5 help files.Would it help to upgrade to RoboHelp 2015?Is RoboHelp_CSH.js updated in this version of RoboHelp?ThanksPeter

I recently upgraded four RoboHelp projects from version 11 to RH 2015. The first three converted fine and I generated WebHelp output when finished.The fourth seemed to upgrade correctly, but when I tried to generate it, RH crashed. Nothing happened. The Output window did not appear and I could not exit RoboHelp. I had to kill it with Task Manager or wait until I got a Windows 7 prompt stating that the application had stopped working. I have restored the original project several times -- and even successfully generated it in RH 11 -- but I get similar results after upgrading it to RH 2015. During the upgrade attempts, I have gotten a message stating that something was wrong with the .ali file. Since it is not context-sensitive Help, I just tell RH 2015 to re-create it.From the error message, it looks like:The event was an APPCRASH.The application was RoboHTML.exe,The fault module was mfc100u.dll v10.0.40219.325.The exception code was c0000005Any suggestions or answers would be greatly a
