Hi Guys. Request e-signature option missing from adobe acrobat dc pro 64 bit. But it is available in old pc when logged in with the same licensed account where 32 bit adobe acrobat has been installed. Tried almost every possible fix but unable to see the request e-signature option in 64 bit adobe acrobat. Please help.

Same problem here. Have tried the update.

Hi Victoria____,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the delay in response.

Could you please confirm if the option is also missing from the Tools tab or other locations?

Check the options you get in the Menu bar. Share the screenshots with us.

Share the screenshot of the tools available in the Tools tab.

Share the current Acrobat and OS version numbers on the machine.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

I also have e-signature missing.  Strangely, if I do a search within Tools for "request e-signature", it appears and functions.  See screenshots below.

Tools section does not have Request e-Signature:

Searching for "request e-signature" in Tools displays the tool:

Current Acrobat DC Pro version:

Hi I found a workaround here.

Looks like Adobe has changed the UI and hiding this function here. Not sure why, but at least able to use.

Hi All.    Was a solution ever provided to resolve this problem (Request E-signature option missing for acrobat dc pro 64 bit users)?   I'm not seeing a firm resolution and one of my users just ran into this issue with the most current version.

I'm experiencing the same issue. User has this feature on an old install, but it does not show on a new install. Clean system, new profile, installed via the Creative Cloud Desktop app. User licensed fro Adobe Standard.

I also tried all the below suggestions. No change.

And yes, I confirmed licensed user has access to this feature via: https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/acrobat/sendforsignature

SIDE NOTE: Asking for screen shots or videos of something that is missing is just comical. I like the ones where its shows icon was here. And the suggestion for click "Fill & Sign" tool is funny. It does not show it if the underlying feature is missing.

2nd SIDE NOTE: the comment of "Is this an IT-managed machine or a personal machine? If it's an IT-managed work machine, please get in touch with the IT at your end and see if that helps." is BS. Sorry. I'm in IT and it is not showing. What do I have up my sleave to fix your broken product? Fresh install on a fresh machine and it installs with a missing feature. NOPE. Not on me.

Any movement on getting an answer to this? I'm beginning to suspect that it has to do with a half baked x64 version, as the 32bit (x86) version appears to work from the comments below. I would try this except all our client machines are x64 and have no intention of rolling back. And the installer does not let you choose. Are there direct links to x86/32bit installers? If so can someone provide a link?

Did you ever find a fix for this? This has been plaguing multiple users for me

  • I also have this issue. I have the Fill and Sign tool but in there I have no request signature button.

I just got done working with Adobe Support for the same issue.  They figured out one of the registry settings under the Adobe policies key was incorrect.  Once we corrected that the option is back.

Open regedit and navigate to:

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\(product name)\(version)\FeatureLockDown\cServices -for 64 Bit Installs
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Policies\Adobe\(product name)\(version)\FeatureLockDown\cServices - for 32 Bit Installs

Change the 'bUpdater' dWord from 0 to 1.  Close and re-open Adobe and the option showed back up for me.

I tested this on 2 different PCs having the issue and tried both 32 bit and 64 bit installs.  It fixed it each time.  Hope that helps you.

One of our users with an adobe acrobat dc pro subscription license, cannot use the function request e-sign for approvals on the client. The client simply doesn't respond.

Hi @rheas32790050

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that. Please try to request signatures via document cloud https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/home/ and see if that works.

What happens when you try to request signatures from the Acrobat DC application? Do you get any error messages? If yes, please share the screenshot of the same for a better understanding. A small video recording of the same would be very helpful.

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive, please download it to your computer locally and then try again.

Also, make sure you have the application updated to the recent version 22.2.20212. Go to Help > check for updates and reboot the computer

You may also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082

Hi @Shivansh245281424fij

Hope you are doing good.

Request E-signature option is/should available under Tools. Would you mind sharing the screenshot of the options you see on your end?

Also, where exactly are you looking for the E-Signature option? Is it for a specific document, or overall the option https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/send-for-signature.html missing?

Thanks,

Akanchha

Hi there,

I need to request a signature from a colleague, but it is required to be a digital i.d. signature rather than a conventional one.  However, when requesting signatures, it doesn't look like the option to use a digital i.d. to sign is available.  Is there a simple way to do this that I am just missing?  I've tried every avenue I can think of and am coming up blank.
