Designer uses Quadra and said he purchased in a pack.I would like to use this font and he will not send the font too me. I can not find this font anywhere and really really need it. Please if you know what package it came in or where I might find it? I would be greatly appreciated.
In FontBook I run "Validate File" on the font and there's no problem. But I can't use the font in any of my CC applications although they work fine in CS5 apps.To this point I've been using Linotype FontExplorer X v1.2.3 and all the fonts worked fine in CC... until today. I'd kept all my fonts in Dropbox, but copied the ones I wanted to install onto my MBP HD. I was running out of room on Dropbox so I copied a bunch of files from Dropbox to my HD (including the fonts), then deleted those files from Dropbox.Any ideas?
Hi,I have Adobe Font Folio 9.0 which came with two disc, one for Windows and one for Mac.My company has completely converted all PCs into Mac and I need to install the Mac Font, but the Disc is unreadable (in multiple Mac) and when I called Adobe Customer Support, they told me they neither have a replacement CD nor download link available.Could someone send me an image file (DMG/ISO) of Mac version of FF 9.0 so that I can burn and installwith the license that I own? Many thanks in advance.hahn_david (at) hotmail
I'm running CS6 on a windows 7 machine. I'm using Extensis Suitcase 11 for WIndows (I know, I know, its old). I have both Type 1 fonts and Open Type fonts installed. The Open Type fonts appear on all apps including other windows apps such as Office. The Type 1 fonts appear in all other apps EXCEPT CS6 apps (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.). I've tried clearing out both the system cache as well as the Adobe cache and I've also cleared the font vault. After doing all that and restarting, the problem was fixed...or so I thought. After logging out at the end of the day and logging back in today, the problem is back. Does anyone know of a solution to this problem? Is it the Suitcase 11 app that might be causing it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,I am looking for informations about differences between Font Folio 9, 10 and 11. Is it only technical differences (more fonts and OT format)? I work in the IT team of a press group and I have been told that we needed to upgrade Font Folio each time we upgrade our OS (eg: from OS 10.6.x to 10.7.x, and so on).Is this information true? Thanks
Typekit font (Source Sans Pro) is not rendering correctly when publishing site from Muse. I know not to expect it to preview correctly (sigh) but it is not publishing. Ex: Source Sans Pro Light 16 point is publishing/displaying in web page as ITALIC, not regular. HELP! This issue is cross-platform, PC and Mac. Looks great in Design, Preview all messed up, but PUBLISH shows font as displayed in Preview, NOT as displayed in Design.HOT TOPIC please! Thanks
HiI'm setting a journal that's mostly in English but has one article in Arabic. I'm using InDesign CS5.5ME and am using Adobe Arabic 2.006 for the Arabic text.I have a situation in which it appears that InDesign is reading a diacritical in the middle of a word as an indication that the word has ended. In the screen shot below, you can see that the heh that ends each of these four words is preceded by a dal with one or two diacriticals. It appears that the intervening diacritical is causing InDesign to assume that the word is finished, and so It's setting the heh using its isolated form. What my editor is telling me is that the heh needs to be set using its final form. When I change the font to another font with Arabic characters—say X Davat or Times New Roman—the heh correctly takes on its final form. This leads me to believe that some instruction in the font—perhaps related to the diacritical—is incorrect. The settings in InDesign appear to be correct (otherwise, the problem would appear
Hello,I'm new to graphic design. I'm trying to understand how best to vertically space my content. I have 4 numbers that are each 4" tall. How much space should i add between each number so that they look spaced properly. For instance, imagine I had:1234How much space should be between the 1 and the 2? Or the 2 and the 3? Or the 3 and the 4?Thank you so much for your help!
I'm using Adobe Caslon with Expert Sets to typeset English in an 18th Century style. Unfortunately, some ligatures are missing, specifically ſſl and ſſi. I have drawn my own versions of these using the existing ſſ, ſl and ſi ligatures, but obviously I cannot distribute modified fonts, so it's not possible to pass on these improvements to others.Hence, it would be good to see these ligatures added to the original fonts.Without them, there are two options, neither of which is entirely satisfactory:1. Do nothing. Then, ſſi is typeset as an ſſ ligature followed by i. This just looks ugly.2. Fake up ligatures by overlaying the corresponding pairs. This works quite well for the upright faces, but for the italic faces it's not so good, as the shapes of the second ſ in the ſſ ligature are different from the shapes of the first ſ in the other two ligatures. This is still better than option 1.It would be good to see something done about this, as it's a serious flaw: without proper ligatures, the
We have a group creating brochures and logos using Adobe fonts from Font Folio. We have a content management system with a utility that creates a pdf rendition of the document or asset when it is uploaded into the system. Are we okay from a license perspective because we are licensing Font Folio for the document creators and embedding the fonts in the PDF versions using our pdf utility, or is there something we need to license for the conversion utility which is running on a Linux box within our content management system?
Is TypeKit available only by typing URL?and plus,Is TypeKit the system which can download with files?

My company has been working with Lucida Sans for print and screen text, and lately I have been fielding complaints about what is perceived as a patchy, low-res look of the typeface as it appears on screen (apps, email etc). It performs well in print, however. I asked a type designer, and he told me that Lucida Sans was originally designed for low-res screens, and on today's high-resolution screens maintains an appearance that has not aged well with the times. He also said that Microsoft has largely abandoned Lucida Sans as a font it supports. Can anybody affirm this problem? Is there a version of Lucida Sans that has been "modernized", smoothed out so that it takes on a better appearance on screen/the web?We are looking at alternate plan B solutions such as Segoe, Myriad, Calibri and Verdana. We would like to avoid this as we have set many templates in Lucida Sans as is and it will be a pain to change them all.
Hello from Germany, can anyone help to find this font?I was already searching fontshop.com, myfonts.com/whatthefontwhatfontis.comBut no success....Thank you....Tom
Hello,I have been using Adobe Illustrator but I have a huge problem with the non-english characters with Standart Fonts. With the Professional font's I have no problem with them. But when I'm using any standart font in font folio library I cannot type any "ğ-İ-ş". I can add those letters in fontlab with the glyphs (scedilla, idotaccent, gbreve). Most of the fonts have those letters already prepeared so I dont even have to redraw. But I can't add those glyph to every single font because I dont have that kind of time and patience. Is there any better solution for this? Or is there any font folio pack that all fonts are PRO.I'm looking forward for your answers Thanks.

I have a licensed copy of Arno Pro. Someone is helping me to make a one-time, personalized document using software I don't have. I'd like her to use Arno as the typeface but am not sure how I can do so under the license. Can I send her the otf file; can I count her computer as one of my licensed CPUs? What are my options? Thank you.
I recently downloaded the Frutiger std font family to use in Illustrator CS6. I have since got a new computer and can not get the fonts to re-load on the new harddrive. I have copied the font files and pasted them to the new hard drive but when I right click on them no install button comes up, only open. Are you only allowed to install the fonts once?
I have been searching around and trying to confirm a few things that I *think* I know but it's all very confusing to me:- My client wants to publish an ebook, which will actually just be a PDF displayed online (rather than a Kindle ebook, etc.). It would likely be downloaded by others, though, for a fee. They would get access to the PDF both online and offline (if they purchase it). We haven't chosen a font, but will probably go with a standard system font (minion, myriad, etc.). Assuming we go with an Adobe font, are we covered legally to use the typeface in this way?- Am I correct in telling the client that if we use a system font (say, minion), and they have it on their computer as well, they may also use it for their further commercial purposes without worrying about getting a license? I understand that a license would come into play only if they did NOT have the font on their computer.- What about for web use? if we wanted to use a standard font like minion for their website, woul
