It is no longer posible to search the forums for specific key words. I usually use the search function a lot. Nov tt looks like the it only search people and not the forums.Kirstine
In my apparent new tradition of bringing up a new problem each day, I suppose I'll ask these questions, which have been bothering me for a while...1. I can underline text while I'm editing. In fact, this sentence is underlined. Why doesn't it retain the underline after one hits [ Post Message ]?2. Just above where we type there are boxes for Font family and font size. And sure enough one can change font size and face here in the editor (e.g., this sentence). But again, it doesn't post... Why?I suppose I should be thankful that Bolding and italics DO work, even together.-Noel
Sorry to be so blunt, but the forums are as slow as ever.In addition we have lost RT (read tracking) in the process, making all the forums nearly unuseable. It was clear that most of the users wanted RT back. It has not happened in two weeks time. Now the speed has become another hurdle. Was'nt that the reason to remove RT? Well, good choice.No speed improvements and greatly reduced functionality. I'm ready to give up on this approach.I have tried to help people here, but now it is impossible to do so. I take time off, untill Adobe gets it right.
Hi -I'm pretty sure that this newest re-design of the adobe discussions requires a few more clicks before I get to the specific forum I'm looking for. In fact I'm very sure.What really adds to the frustration is that after I get to the forum I need, and then sign in - I'm sent back to some general adobe.com page and have to search again to find the forum I need.It seems to me that after signing in I should be brought back to the last page I was on.Thanks,JL
Hi,I've been learning CS5 web design and want to start designing but my health has meant that I need to use a laptop now (have to lay down because of back problems) instead of my desk top.Can anyone suggest the best laptops for the job? I don't want to spend out lots for something that's not needed or not good for the job in hand.Obviously I'd like to pay as little as possible but don't what 'cheap and useless' either, so will consider any.Any advice is gratefully received and I'll follow up in my research for the perfect laptop for me.By the way, I'm using a macbook to type this but my CS5 is for Windows (as is my desktop) so a laptop would have to be a Windows one please.I look forward to hearing from you and getting on with researching laptops with your advice.Thanks for reading.Anna
As my message is about Forum Comments I am posting this here: I have just noticed that these forums can allow you to insert videos or Images but there is no such facility to attach files.Attachment of files is very important for Dreamweaver Forums where users can attach their HTML, CSS and related images for helpers to test them out and provide appropriate suggestions.Can Adobe-Admin please forward this suggestion to the appropriate developer team.Thanks.

Yet another niggling little thing, noticed recently...Once it was possible to put one of these... ...on the same line as text.Alas, no more. Now it appears on the a line by itself when it is posted.Does anyone know a secret handshake for getting the smiley on line? Is it maybe an Internet Explorer 9 thing? Funny thing is they're in line in the text editor in IE9. I wouldn't swear I've ever seen them in the right places in IE9, but... I dunno.-Noel
The box for "Search only this forum" seems to come and go as I navigate through the site.It's there when I first get to the site. It disappears when I click on a thread. It reappears when I click on the forum name in the breadcrumbs navigation. But when I click on the word Discussion in the breadcrumbs navigation, it disappears forever. I can click on all the breadcrumbs and it never comes back. The only way to get it back is to click on Adobe Forums then find my way back to the forum I was viewing.

when i try to login in our dreamweaver website. it gives error message and states my login and password does not match. but i did not put in a login and password. not sure how to fix

Raw video files straight off of a DVD isn't compatible to Premiere Pro CS4. So what I usually do is, I encode it through Handbrake to maintain high quality. All of a sudden Im getting difficulty with Handbrake. When I import it through Premiere only a fraction of the video gets shown. I have two question in regards to that...1) What could I be doing wrong?2) And does Adobe Premiere have a encoder program specifically for Premiere so that I dont have to use a program that may not be compatible to it?

Every now and then when painting out on a mask transparency, the thumbnail visual does not show a representation of what was painted black. It is as if there is a delay with CS5 registering the information, but my Mac system is new and bawny. The weird thing also is that I happens on my computer in the studio as well as at home. The only change I made to my preferences is changing the color of my transparencies to a solid white. Any clue what it is and how to get rid of it?

I need to export a 16x9, 720/30p CS3 project, for final viewing on a 4:3 projector in letterbox. *This project is about to kick off with a VERY short deadling and the shooters keep changing their mind about whether they're going to shoot in 720/30p or 720/60p. I need to plan for both to be safe. How will this effect things in my original 16x9 project setup if they give me both 720/30p and 720/60p video? And what about exporting for letterbox viewing in 4:3 if this occurs? I mean, if I start a project in 720/30p with CS3 and they bring me 720/60p video as well as 720/30p video, will I have to start a new project and start editing everything all over again, and vice versa? Also, how will this effect my final letterboxed 16x9 product? **I also have to provide this to the customer in 16x9 DVD format.

Long user names such as the one shown below create havoc with the display of a page. Take a look at the Lightroom forum to see what I mean.So, my request: Enforce the use of shorter user names or truncate the name when displayed on a forum page.And the name is (nothing personal intended):[email address deleted by host]
I am awfully sorry to post this here but does anyone know if there is a Test Forum somewhere where people can test something out?I want to test posting something from my email account using yahoo, AOL, and/or gmail so that I don't have to rely on these slow forums. I have tried using Hotmail but it is clearly failing and I have already posted the error message yesterday. We are alright, although a few things are broken (we no longer have any dishes or glasses). In my friend's bookstore (where I do the online project), several thousand books fell down to the floor. It took us the rest of the day to reshelf them. Hundred thousands of people were stranded in Tokyo, as all trains stopped. Food grew scarce very soon; most restaurants couldn't open because the staff couldn't get to work. Supermarket and convenience store shelves were empty. I have never seen empty shelves in Japan before! For us in Tokyo it was more fun than disaster. But for the most affected people in the North it is of course terrible! Especially the damage from the tsunami. But we don't know what will happen in the near future - there were two differ
I asked DWILCOX01 to start a new thread when he asked about the forum email interface in All threads show up as read.I'm not sure why he didn't, but I am going to answer him here.The irony is the addressee is : "forums@adobe.com" and I can't see how this can get to the right forums! There is absolutely nothing else to distinguish the message apart from the message itself.The Jive Clearspace software sets the Reply-To: header on email messages. Hi,The current forum software is awkward, unpractical and slow. The Search feature never worked correctly and now, the Read Tracking feature has disappeared, which makes the beast even more difficult to use.Why not use a standard forum software ? There are a lot of very good forum applications around that are quick, easy to use and that allow making effective searches. A non working search feature in these forums means more work for the support dpt. It seems that Adobe didn't understand this. So I'm wondering why they insist using this very strange thing.Not made in-house rejection syndrome?--Patrick
Virturally every time I quote someone I get gibberish at the top of the quote. I'll demonstrate by responding to myself...I use Internet Explorer to access the forum. As far as I know, there are no problems with it, though I'm pretty stingy about letting any sites run active content. I'm not getting messages that an Add-on failed to run here, though.-Noel
