I need some HELP!  I am running a large tech classroom with imacs and CS5 snow leopard..now 1 by 1 computers are refusing to open premiere pro projects and refusing to open at all...I get " A serious error has occurred and premiere needs to shut down.. I have tried =re-installing ...premiere from scratch and still wont op...en..The only fix I could come up with is reformatting the whole computer from scratch loosing everything we were working on...and Ideas out thereThanksPhil

Hey all,this sankalp from india and im 14 years of age. I had a passion for computers since i was just 8. I have been working on the internet right from the age of 9-10.However, my point is im into many adobe products by today at a fairly advanced level. For eg. Flash, photoshop, as3, illustrator!I have also worked as a freelancer for image editing and logo designing and earned a bit of money and a ton of appreciation. I am constantly increasing my knowledge through lynda.com and self experimentation through my graphics tablet. I wanted to know can my future education lie somewhere in adobe HQ beacuse i wanted to really dive in deep! Can any of you having experience with adobe in some or the other manner kind of guide me...would value your reply and thank you!cheerssankalp

For a variety of reasons, I prefer public forums to private discussions.  These forums have a Private Message feature but I have not found any way to opt out of them.  The Edit Forums Profile page has nothing on the topic.  Also, hiding our email address does not prevent others from sending us private messages.Is there a way to opt out that I couldn't find?  If not, could one be put in?

I tried to correct a post under an iOS device (iPhone4, iOS 3.1) but there is no way to select the text, nor enter a cursor in the very field I'm typing in.No problem for the title field, or the edit field. I suspect the text entering scripts.Any other user able to do this? should I report it to Jive, or Apple?With more and more Adobe products like Ideas, Photoshop Express, it might be useful for those users to be able to report issues in here.

How to sign out and log in to Adobe forums as another Adobe user on the same computer?I want to let someone else use my computer to post in the forums using his Adobe account and user name. He can sign in using his account but once he gets to the forums this site reverts to my user name.  So, is it possible a person to sign in using different computes and keep track of his messages anywhere?

Quick and probably easy question! I'm attempting to put together an actor's demo reel. For some reason when I import one of the videos I need , the audio is a second ahead of the video. The clip's audio/video is in synch in my video library so I know it's not the video. I've tried re-importing it, and I've tried rendering it several times to no avail. I've been exploring ways to edit the audio, but being new to this program, have found myself stumped for a few hours now. Can anyone tell me why it's importing like that, or if there is a simple way to fix this, please?! Thank you so much.

I was looking into alternative photo editing softwares and I came across GIMP. It's free and seems to have a lot of what Photoshop has.I would like to know from all of you that has used Gimp and Photoshop which would you prefer if both were free?Thank You.-Peter Chesky

Hello,I am in InDesign CS3 and suddenly my swatches are all gone. When I click on the swatches tab, it's empty. When I try to load swatchs by going to "applications - adobe indesign - presets - swatches" they're all grayed out.Also, if I go to the color picker and "add to swatches" it doesn't get added. The swatches panel remains blank.I tried trashing the InDesign preference file, (which I hope was "com.adobe.indesign.plist" I can't seem to find it anymore after relaunching the program), quitting and restarting, but still no swatches.On a MacBook Pro, OS 10.5.6.Any suggestions?

I am just trying out PSE 9 as an upgrade from my PSE 8. I have been able to open jpeg files in Camera Raw right from Bridge. I seem unable to do this in Organizer and, since not all of my photos are in raw, I use this feature a lot. Is it possible to open a jpeg file by double clicking on the thumbnail as I presently do?Mark Strang[email address removed by host]

Depuis 3 ans je me bats avec Adobe Première Eléments, d'abord la version 4 puis la version 7 sur un PC DELL XPS 430 spécialement acheté pour la vidéo : APE plante quasi systématiquement ("Windows a dû fermer ce programme..." bien entendu sans enregistrer le travail) et plante même dès l'ouverture. En cause, toujours, le fichier ImporterAVI.prm.De mes nombreux contacts avec la HotLine Adobe je n'ai obtenu aucun résultat.De guerre lasse, j'ai réinstallé sur le même PC Adobe Première 6.5 que j'utilisais précédemment : tout se passe très bien, ce logiciel est parfaitement stable.Conclusions : 1) APE, c'est de la crotte qu'Adobe a osé commercialiser, ce qui est purement scandaleux,2) La HotLine APE est un ramassis d'incompétence.

HiWhy Adobe doesn't offer their products for students (if not for all, but for university students) for free? Microsoft will, and I think that's good advertisement for they.For example, if I want to buy CS5 Design Premium and I'm a student. I haven't got money for that, if it costs 2300€ incl. Hi Everyone,I am posting this thread, as more of a voting forum wherein we take a call on whether links after signatures should or should not be allowed.For e.g - when a person signs after writing his reply or giving a answer he can put a signature like -<name><www.website.com>or<name><www.name.facebook.com>or<name><name@email.com>But the site moderator's delete the links as they find it unnessary. Now if the link is in the middle of the post they can remove it but if a person wants to sign with his link, should he be given atleast that much courtesy for answering a question or posting a reply.People would prefer to share their e-mails, blogs, Facebook profile, linkedin profile, web sites, etc. It adds a personal touch and also lets other know who the person is.Let's us discuss via this thread how the links would be a positive thing to the forum and how it will form a part of personal signatures in the future.

Hi Before i logged into the adobe website today someone elses email address was saved into it and I dont know who it is and I am sort of worried at why it saved someone elses email address when no else uses my computer.

This morning I had some time to spare, and just for fun I decided to check if it was still impossible to change the language of the interface of these forums. I know this is the wrong forum, but…Can anyone enlighten me?How did a folder named just "Adobe", containing only something called "Acrobat.com.app"), end up in my root Applications folder?Double clicking on "Acrobat.com.app" launches an installer that wants to install something called "AIR".  What is that and what is it needed for?What forum should I be posting this in? How do I import .psd or, .ai or, .fla or, .png or, .aep files into Cinema 4D?

I am trying to install a font from dafont.com, and when I drag the font file to the font folder in Vista it says I need to give it permission to continue.  When I click continue, it still doesn't install it.  how can I fix this?  I tried creating a new user that is not an administrator as suggested by Windows Help but that didn't work either.Joel

Hello -- I'm concerned about the strange lag between receiving a "Order Confirmation" email from Adobe for my $820 purchase and... the fact that the download email has still not been sent for the same order over an hour later.What's up with this bad business practice??? I've never purchased software from a reputable company's website and had such a huge lag. I can't even "track" the order in the Adobe Support Portal since the system replies that it "can't find your order. Please try back in 2 hours." Really lame.
