Hello,I'm looking for a way to see which topics are not being viewed in my Help site. I'm using RH 2015 with responsive HTML5 SSL and hosting on RoboServer 9.The RoboServer reports provides a view count for topics that have been viewed in a given time frame, but I would like to see what topics were not accessed in that same time frame. I was hoping there was an easy way to export the topic list inside RoboHelp - where it lets you filter by TOC, TOC Name, Status etc.  This way I could blend the topic list with view count data from the Frequently Viewed Topic report (provided in RoboServer admin console). However, I have not figured out how to pull a list of all topics - in particular all topics used in a specific TOC.Does anybody have an ideas of how to accomplish this?Thank you!Chris

We are having constant issues with RoboHelp 11 when attempting to publish a Project to SharePoint 2010. The error message just states 'Unknown Error' and references an image file for a recently imported topic. As there appear to be no settings in the import function to specify how to handle image names the only remedy we have found is to manually amend the path for every image loaded during the import routine to be ../IMAGENAME rather than the full file path for the Image. In addition we have had to rename each image to avoid over writing existing images. As you can image this is extremely frustrating and time consuming.Any assistance would be appreciated as we are getting to the point of looking for an alternative product as it is clear that RoboHelp 11 does not work well with SharePoint.

I was wondering if somebody could tell me how to host webhelp through IIS Manager?

I have begun to use javascript within my RoboHelp 2015 for font awesome font icons. I want to use the plus and minus icons to show and hide content. Unfortunately I am struggling with adding the script while using the RoboHelp DHTML dropdown text functionality.The html script was suggested to me, but it does not use the robohelp dropdown html coding.'Anyone have suggestions on how to make it work? I'm using RoboHelp 11 to generate WebHelp that includes a ToC, glossary, index, and page-level context-sensitive help.We currently offer it in English only, but there is a new requirement to provide it in 4 or 5 different languages (all supported by RoboHelp 11).The software team is asking whether we can display the different help sets (French, Japanese, etc.) based on the browser's language settings or something passed to it by our web application. The specific questions are:Can RoboHelp automatically determine the language from browser settings?Or can RoboHelp accept arbitrary parameters in the URL and analyze them?Or maybe RoboHelp already has a built-in mechanism to accept a call with a URL which contains a predefined param for defining the languageThanks!Christina

Hi everyone,Breadcrumbs are appearing at top of pages, but they go directly from "Home" > [final destination topic].  In other words, they are no longer breadcrumbs, per se, since they show only "Home" and then the final destination -- with none of the steps (i.e. books) in between. They are not listing the books -- just "Home" and then the topic in question, and leaving out which book the topic is in, or any other steps in between.I think I screwed something up while messing around with master pages.Any help is greatly appreciated.Thank you!Mark Thiel

Hi all,Currently, my content runs all the way across my widescreen monitor to the right edge of the monitor.Is there a way to set a right margin so that digital output does not appear in a browser to run the entire horizontal width of the screen?Or is the only answer to use tables -- to embed all body text in table cells in order to constrain "margins"? Hello all:I am using RH 10 and a Sharepoint installation that is part of Office 365.My employer has a lot of little doc files in Sharepoint that contain useful information. I would like to link them from their Sharepoint location into a RoboHelp project that lives on my C drive. Can this be done? I have tried but cannot work out how to select the Sharepoint document from RoboHelp.Regards,Juliette Curtis

I want to remove the whole banner from the bottom of the HTML5 output (desktop-size view) that contains the "Go to top" button. I've tried looking around in the CSS file of my layout, but couldn't find how to change it (I can remove the image, but then I'm still left with a blank white bar along the bottom of the screen).Is there a way to set the size of this using CSS somehow?

Hello,I'me using RH_2015 (trial version).Our intensions with RH is to call a help-page from selected places in a html-page.I've made a project with the use off 2 different output's:- 'WebHelp'- 'Responsive HTML5' (primary choice for our projects)I use the 'RH_Showhelp' function to call a help-file by the hand of map-id numbers.I can open the help-file with 'WebHelp' (output) perfectly.If I try the same with the 'Responsive HTML5' (output), I get script errors. Hi all,I am currently working on a project in Robohelp 2015. I am able to generate pdf, word, webhelp...however while I try to generate a .chm (help file),the file fails to generate and i get a debug error message. Not sure what could be the issue. Can anyone suggest a solution?Thanks,Lovy

Hi, i'm using robohelp 11 and i have a problem with my output in HTML5 using microsoft EDGE browser, before the update to anniversary update(Microsoft Edge ver. 38.14393.0.0).when i open my project i can't see the contents in the left column.with other browsers the problem does not exist...I downloaded also the free trial version of RH2015 to try to solve the problem, but the result is the same.any suggestion fom me??thx

I'm using RH 2015 v 12.0.2.384.  When generating Responsive HTML or Multiscreen HTML, I'm trying to get breadcrumbs.  I've searched through other posts, and nothing suggested there is working.  When I try to add a header or footer to the master page, I can add it, but then the option to add breadcrumb placeholder is grayed out.  I can add the breadcrumb place holder to the body of the page, but, it does not display in the output.  I suspect I am missing some step here somewhere, but even after multiple searches, I can't figure it out.  Any suggestions?KB

I have used @Peter Chater Grainge’s “Merging Help” document for a few years now (at least since RoboHelp 😎Now using RoboHelp 10. Internet Explorer 9.I created the topic. Created a Map ID for the topicAdded to the index.Saved the project.Generated the parent (parent already had the child project in its TOC from years back). Content setting for Index is: “Default Index”. Navigation setting for Preferred Format is: “DHTML”.Generated the child. Content setting for Index is: “Default Index”. Navigation setting for Preferred Format is: “DHTML”.Copied the parent and child  whdata, whgdata, whxdata folders to folders outside the project along with the generated results for the parent and child.TOC is synchronized, Index appears, but the new topic does not.Did I miss a step?I did not add the topic to the browse sequence.

There was a thread two years ago on this that was never answered (here: Re: TOC links in Responsive HTML5 layouts are inaccurate with merged projects ). I'm not sure how often people review old topics so I'm creating a new one because I'm desperate for an answer to this problem:My set up: RoboHelp HTML 11 (version 11.0.4.291) on a Windows 7 OS. I merged this project using instructions on peter grainge's amazing website (Merging WebHelp - RoboHelp 9 and 10​).I also manually disabled the glossary functions in my Screen Layout.Here is a more detail explanation of the problem:ONLY in Tablet or Phone view does this problem occur. Everything works 100% in Desktop view:PROBLEM:In tablet or phone view, I click on a parent topic that has a few nested child topics inside of it. Hi,I'm using Robo Help HTML 10.I'm a developer that needs to automate the help build process as part of our CI process. I've installed Robo Help HTML 10 on our build server, and it builds the help fine. But, when using the RHCL tool:<path>\RoboHTML\RHCL.exe <path>/C4.xpj -o desktop_1it crashes with a message "RHCL.exe has stopped working". The last line in cmd is: "Processing index data..." It does succeed to create PART of the desired output - but, for example, the index.htm file is missing.Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?Thanks

Hi, all.I have imported a word document into RH11 in win7 environment. In Word, the document creator used the Word graphics tools to put outlines around graphic elements of particular interest.When I import the Word document, those outlines are imported as separate graphics files and I can't simply drag them into place. Is there a way to get RoboHelp to import the graphic in one piece?Thanks.

This was a problem in earlier versions of Robohelp, and is a problem again in RH 2015. I have applied the latest patches. I am running RH 2015 on Windows 7. Is there a patch available? Steps to recreate:1) Login to the application.2) Access Help3) Click on Search icon in Help 4) Type any phrase and click search icon5) Notice with IE10 it is showing 'No Topics Found', but the same search returns result with IE11 and ChromeExpected result: Help document Search works in IE10

I'm using RH 2015 and importing files from a large project into a smaller project, these files use topic keywords for indexing. When looking at the index pod and/or hhk file you don't see the index keywords listed but when looking at the properties for a topic you do see the topic keywords also in the html code you see the topic keywords as <meta name="MS-HKWD" content="bill of material,obsolete" />. How do you get the topic keywords to show up in the index pod? I don't have time to add each of these again.

How can I autonumber the TOC entries within a given book?I'm new to RoboHelp, am running RoboHelp 2015.I'm listing steps in a process.Example:Step 1:  Get out some breadStep 2:  Open the peanut butterStep 3:  Apply peanut butter to breadI've figured out how to apply multi-level list to the headings on the topic pages. So on each topic page, I've successfully formatted autonumbered headings on the topic page. But in the Table of Contents, I have only:Get out some bread.Open the peanut butter.Apply peanut butter to bread.How do I have the TOC entries themselves autonumbered?Thanks much!

Folks,I apologize if this has been hashed out before. In a previous post in 2013 about project files on a server, the answer was that no RH versions before RH 10 is supported in any way with working project files on a server. We are using RH HTML 10 with the project files on a server. So based on this reply I would then assume that this is now OK. However, when we attempt to move a whole folder to become a sub-folder of another folder RH stalls and then when we have to stop RH and start again, the sub-folder's topics are all with the red X. What we have done to get around this is to create the sub-folder and then move the individual topics to the sub-folder. That works OK, slow going but it works. I have 3 questions please:1. Is this normal for RH HTML 10?2. Is there something we can do to stop the freezing when we attempt to move a folder to become a sub-folder?3. My concern is that if we do all this work with individual moving topics and then RH freezes are we going to loose all the

Hi all,Using Multiscreen HTML5 (RH 11.0.0.179) if you click on a table of contents entry towards the bottom of the list, the ToC jumps back to the top of the ToC, so you have to scroll back down to see the selected topic and other topics around it.We've modified the skin so the ToC pane is a fixed height and has a vertical scroll bar.Is there any way to make the ToC stay down the bottom where the selected topic is similar to the Webhelp ToC? Or make make the selected topic display at the top of the ToC pane?Thanks,Amber

Hi guys,I have a weird one for you.Using RH11, producing Multiscreen HTML5 (desktop layout only).I have a Test web server and a Production web server.Accessing the Production web server using the web address in Chrome, the search highlighting works as expected. Accessing the Test web server using the web address (http) in Chrome, the search highlighting does not work. However if I access it using the file server and open in Chrome, then the search highlighting does work correctly.  If I use Internet Explorer 11, the search highlighting always works correctly.Does anyone have any ideas of what might be causing the search highlight to fail when accessed on one web server using the web address in Chrome? Or troubleshooting tips - I have no idea where to start?Thanks,Amber
