I just got updated to Office 13 and now I can no longer print in RoboHelp, either PDF or Word. I tried enabling the VBA macros to no effect. Please help.

My font sets, which I've had for years, have disappeared since I lasted used RH10. I believe I will have to recreate them. Does anyone know why this happened, and if there is a quicker solution?As a result (I believe), the only font that appears in the font drop-down is Times Roman. Have I done something wrong?

Are there any templates that show a design of an HTML manual designed to cope with different languages?

I'm generating printed documentation from a project using RH 11.  All looks good except for the TOC which displays books and topics at the same level.  I would have expected to see topics within a book indented in the TOC and don't seem to find a way to change that in the printed doc layout properties. Shown below are screen shots of the TOC in RH and of the TOC in the generated PDF as well as one of the first printed doc layout settings screens..  Any help on figuring this out would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.Diane

I am using TCS 4, which includes FM11 and RH10.  I create a project in RH. Link it to my FM book then update.The FM book was originally generated from a power point slide deck, all the slides are in a pdf file.  After updating the RH project, all the images that get created are blank. I have been googling and trying everything I can think of. Is there a log somewhere that tracts the process RH goes through when creating and importing the slides from the pdf file?If I can find an error, then maybe I can fix it.Our course development team has been using this method for a few years now, including myself. We have never seen this type of issue before. Occasionally one or two slides are missing, but that is usually due to some tagging that RH does not like and we can find it easily by looking at the .htm file, before the slide with the issue.I have the latest patches installed. I tried moving my FM book to my C:\ drive to keep the file path short.

When publishing as a Multiscreen HTML5 layout, is it possible to assign responsive screen layouts to the existing screen profiles? It seems that when selecting the Single Source Layout of Multiscreen HTML5, I can only assign Multiscreen HTML5 screen layouts to the existing screen profiles. When I select the Responsive HTML5 layout, I can only see responsive screen layouts in the drop-down.

RoboHelp 10, source controlled with TFS 2010, publishing only to Multiscreen HTML5.I am trying to create first-level folders in my Robohelp project so I can start importing existing html topics, but Robohelp won't let me create folders with the names I need. I'll use "contactus" as an example here. When I attempt to do this, Robohelp gives me the following error: 'A file with the name "contactus" already exists.'I have checked the following:A file or folder called "contactus" does not exist anywhere in the project or project manager.A folder called "contactus" does not exist in source control.A folder called "contactus" does not exist on my hard drive in Windows.There is no broken link to this location or anything below it.None of my HTML5 screen layout pages reference this location, although they once did, and I have since removed those links in an attempt to fix the problem.The string "contactus" does not appear in any file in the project folder, based on a Find search done in both R

I've followed all the directions the RoboHelp manual I have from IconLogic, which are almost identical to the instructions in Peter Grainge's website (which I also tried), but I keep getting the following message: "Microsoft Word seem to not be responding. Would you like to continue waiting?" Waiting doesn't help, so, No.Then, back to RH11, I get the Blue Circle of Waiting, try to close RH ("x" out), but get "RoboHelp is not responding," etc.anyone? anyone?Lon

Hi all,I've read numerous posts on this subject, but all seem to indicate there is no way without making registry changes, etc.  I also saw mention of selecting an 'unblocking' checkbox in the .chm file properties, but I see no such option.Since the posts are rather old I'm hoping maybe something has changed and there is a simple way to accomplish putting a .chm file on a network drive.  I need to share one with multiple departments at work and was hoping to put it on SharePoint. I'm using RH11 and Windows 7.  If I can't use a .chm, is there any other 'stand-alone' output from RH11 that can be used across a network?Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.Diane

Is there a way to filter content based on rules?  For instance, only display administrator topics if I log in as a certain user type or only display certain topics you have access to.

Hi AllNew to RH and using 2015I have some text (not entire topics) that I want excluding from HTML output. Everything will be in printed ouptut. I tagged the text that I don;t want in online as "Print" and it  is correctly absent from HTML.However in my print output, which has no CB expression, two entire topics are missing. I'm puzzled why. Everything previews fine, here I see the page no refs (they will be changed later - just testing right now) when filter applied when I say NOT online (ie. printed) I get themWhen I say NOT print (i.e online) they are missingBut when I generate with NO CB expression, the first two topics are completely missing from Word and PDF: only Scenarios Detailed is in PDF). HTML is perfectFigure it's gotta be something dumb that I'm doingAny suggestions?mark

I just installed Microsoft Office 2013. Now, when I try to generate a pdf from my Robohelp 11 project, I get the following error: Internal error encountered,  Failed to generate Printed Documentation. Does anyone know how to fix other than reverting back to old office version?

I am currently working with Robohelp 10 to generate Multiscreen HTML help, but I am having a problem with the <title> tags of the output. Whenever I generate my help using the "Multiscreen HTML5" SSL, all <title> tags in the output is set to the name of the project eg. "My Product Help", rather than the Topic title eg. "My Help Topic". All topics have titles, and these are located in the <title> tag of each topic. I can see in the Screen Layout file that this contains the following line: <title>Topic</title>, but in the end the output becomes <title>My Product Help</title> rather than <title>My Help Topic</title> which would be logical. This has an adverse effect on SEO because all pages end up with the same, not very descriptive, title - but I simply can't sort out how to make the output use the title tags from the actual topics. Any ideas?

How do I create a link in a topic that expands a book in my TOC?

Hello-I am creating a Responsive HTML5 user guide for a web-based application. I just generated the user guide and found one problem and a mystery:1. When I use the Search field to search for a term in the content of the guide, I get no results and the guide only seems to refresh and send me back to the index page of the guide. What am I doing wrong?2. These Search Options seemed to have appeared out of thin air. I don't know if these are supposed to be visible in the guide or what they are exactly supposed to do. Can you explain these features and their use to me, please?Thank you-Michael

When I try to create a new folder in RoboHelp (or rename one, or do something which creates a folder, like adding a new single source layout), RoboHelp takes a VERY long time to create it (over an hour, often much longer). In the notification bar at the bottom of the screen, for that hour, I'll see rotating messages reading "Getting latest Versions of Field(s)", "Building File List", and (very briefly), "Querying Version Control Status". Again, this will be for at least an hour, often much more.This has only seems to happen with the project connected to TFS. I'm wondering why this could be, and what I could do to stop this.UsingRoboHelp 11TFS 2012Thanks in advance.

Can I save and lock the Publish settings in RH11 to prevent inadvertent changes to the settings?

HiI am using RH11 with FM12 book.We get FM12 book into RH11 and publish outputs from there. (We are aware of publishing directly from FM, but due to some FM template restraints we take this approach.)For this, some of use import approach and others take the Linked route. However, we have noticed that formatting, especially lists, don't get applied as defined in the ISF file when we import the FM book. Is this a known issue? It works perfectly when we link.Sreekanth

I am trying to set my default search parameter to OR. Seems it currently defaults to AND and the amount of search results are too high. Is there a way to set a Responsive HTML5 output to default search mutliple search terms as OR? It seems only Webhelp output has a setting to make AND/OR or just AND the default search output option.Thanks in advance for any assistance.Anthony

Using RH11 generating WebHelp. My company is producing a new version of a product. They want to use the same name as the original. They are also keeping the original product (so yes, we will have ProductX and ProductX.)1. I realize that I can't have two topics called ProductX in RH. Any suggestions besides coming up with a different name for the new product, like ProductX V2?2. Can I use conditional build tags to populate RH with either the original help topic or the new help topic, depending on the version of ProductX that the client has? I'm trying to avoid having two help systems to maintain. I apologize if I am not being clear. I do not have any advanced skills in RH so I am unclear how to go about solving these problems.Thanks for any advice.

Hello -I'm creating a Responsive HTML5 user guide for my company's web-based application. When we attempt to access the user guide through the application in MSIE (version 11.0.9600 - update version 11.0.20), the user guide I created in RoboHelp (version 11.0.4.291) only displays the content I wrote and not the TOC, the Sidebar, the Function bar, or any other layout features. I am trying to link a topic in a Robohelp project  to another topic in another Robohelp project but it is not working. I have Robohelp 10. The two projects are kept at the same location. And the generated output of the second file is kept inside the first project.
