Robohelp HTML 11.Rh is breaking strings into lines. The <p> below is actually broken into 3 lines, in this file, lines 69, 70, and 71.While this does not adversely affect the outputs, it makes Find and Replace in Files nearly useless.Say I want to delete every occurrence of the image tag seen in the code below. I can't because sometimes the line break could be anywhere in that tag, so my universal search finds no match.<img src="Plus_Button.jpg" alt="" style="border: none;" border="0" />Any ideas?
We have several Topics in our Help project, which share the same inserted image. From a broader, global perspective, is there a quick and easy way to do a Where Used type of search, and see a list of all Topics where a shared image has been inserted?
I'm on RH11, and some version of SharePoint of which I'm not sure. I'm able to add one document at a time to SharePoint version control from within RH (File > Version Control), but I need to have about 49,000 with version control in RoboHelp. I was able to get the files into SharePoint, but now I need to get RoboHelp to be handle the large number of files. How do I get RoboHelp to give version control to a large number of documents at once?
I am using Internet Explorer 11 and RoboHelp HTML 11 (v 11.0.4.291) with WebHelp as my Primary Layout. I created a Print Topic button which uses the following function: The Action for OnClick = printAction() The Inline Javascript Function Definition reads: var printAction= function(){ var topicPane = top.frames[1].frames[1];topicPane.focus();topicPane.print();} When viewing the Help from within RoboHelp and in Internet Explorer 11 through our application, the Print Preview displays 3 options: 1) 1 Page View, 2) Select Content (which includes a choice of “As laid out on screen”, “Only the selected frame”, and “All frames individually”), and 3) Shrink to Fit. In order to get it to print only my Topic Frame, I must force focus on my Topic window by making sure that I have my cursor within that window pane, and choose “Only the selected frame” for it to print correctly. Our application does not display the “Select Content” option. When I select my Printer to print, the
Running 11.0.3.268, with the latest hotfix. When I customize my layout, I see options for a Function bar. (Home button, Print button, Back and Next buttons, etc.) When I generate my output, however, I do not see any of these items. What do I need to do to make these button appear?
Somehow or another I have managed to "hide" all the toolbars and I can't see how to get them back. All I can get to is the context-menu that is available from the top-frame and it only has capture controls. How do I reset RoboScreenCapture so that I can see the menu bars again?
RH10 - HTML5 OUTPUTI am trying to add a new screen layout... I found one in the list of New layouts provided by Adobe: Theme3_Black. I downloaded the zip file and extracted to my project. Then I go to the Screen Layouts pod, right click and select import. I go to the folder where I extracted the files, but there is no "slz" file to be found anywhere. Why would this be?
Hi guys,I thought I'd have a look at scripting in Robohelp, unfortunately I've run into a problem.I selected Tools > Scripts > New Script, which opened ESTK, then selected Adobe Robohelp 11 in the drop-down and clicked the broken link icon, which popped up the following message:"Target Adobe RoboHelp 11 is not running. Do you want to launch Adobe RoboHelp 11? Yes/No"Which is odd, because I opened ESTK from Robohelp.Has anyone encountered this before or know what I've done wrong?Robohelp version: 11.0.0.179Thanks in advance.
Hi. I just reinstalled TCS5/RH11 to get rid of a missing .xpj file issue. Then I imported an FM book and created a glossary in RH11. I then edited my FM book and came back to my RH11 and tried to update the project with the changes in my FM book. All options of Update are greyed out so basically, I cannot update my RH11 project. Can someone hear me wail?
Running 11.0.4.291.It is my understanding that this update includes recent hotfixes, such as the fix for this issue:The print output in Internet Explorer using the Responsive HTML5 print button does not print the entire contents of the output. Only a small section of the top of the output is printed. That said, I am still seeing the bad behavior in my updated software. Any ideas why?Additional observations:In IE 10, print preview only shows a small section of the top of the topic. (As shown above.) Printing, however, does provide the whole topic. In the latest versions of Chrome and Firefox, print preview AND printing only provide the very top portion of the topic.A bug report has been submitted.
My users keep expecting the search function in WebHelp to work like Google search. Thus, they hate it. Does anyone have any boilerplate search instructions they would recommend for publication in a WebHelp project?
We publish procedures and processes onto an IIS web server. We have Robohelp Server 9 on a separate machine (Windows 2008 R2) and would like to run "analytics" on one of the websites presented on the IIS web server. How do we setup Robohelp server to generate these analytics on a specific website?
Does anyone have any experience with this issue? I create a blank project, but RH11 does not create a .xpj file--only some other files and the SSL folder. Everything was working until this week and this project.
I'm posting here, because the link to the general discussion appears to be broken. I want to delete the conditional build tags that come with RoboHelp 11. The online help for RoboHelp (accessed by clicking the ? Help button on the Conditional Build Tag dialog box) says:"To remove conditional build tags from a project, click Project. Expand the Conditional Build Tags folder, click a tag, and select Delete. Then click OK."I haven't used RoboHelp in a while, so pardon my ignorance, but where exactly do I "click Project?" I seem to recall that the Conditional Build Tags folder used to reside in the Project Files folder in the Project Manager pod. But it is not there. Thanks!Carol
RH 11.0.4.I have been using RH since 4.0 and am currently I have a RoboHelp HTML project where I am using two different style sheets. Each style sheet is associated with its own Master Page. I've done this because my client wants to eventually migrate to a new look. The 'Normal' style in both instances is mapped to a different font. I have ensured that the style sheet is attached and that all content is in the appropriate style. There is no issue with the first style sheet (and Master Page) I created. The 'new look' Master Page and Style Sheet have had random display issues with the Normal style; occasions where part of the topic displays or all content is not displaying. This is the case if I select View Selected Item from within the project and view the topic after compiling WebHelp.I have created new Master Pages and re-assigned styles. One symptom that may help shed insight on to what is going on . . . is that when I edit a topic with the 'new look' stylesheet / Master Page and clic
HiI recently upgraded to RH 11.0.4.291 and FM 12.0.4.445. I have been importing a FrameMaker book into RoboHelp for several years, without any issues. The Framemaker book is a "master" book consisting of 17 books. Some of the books have multiple chapters. For these, I created a folder each sub book and put the chapter files in the folder. Until today, when I imported the FrameMaker book into the RoboHelp project, and I got the FrameMaker TOC structure in RoboHelp: Book A Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4Book B Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4Book C Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 When I imported the FrameMaker files into RoboHelp today, I got this: Book A Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4Book B Chapter 1 from Book A Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4Book C Chapter 1 from Book A Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4Book D Chapter 1 from Book A Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4Book E Chapter 1 from Book A Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Chapter 1 from Book A appears in the TOC fo
Pressing F1 (to open a Help topic) results in a blank page opening and obscuring the required Help topic. This happens with RoboHelp 10, IE11 and a Windows 8 machine. None of the available patched solve this problem.
My SystemWin 7Rh11Word 2013HistoryDue to Company practices, I am unable to utilize "Rick's Method" Preformatted Tables because of the file location stored on my local drive (e.g., C:\Program Files\RoboHelp Office\RoboHTML\Gallery\Tables using the format yourfilename.htmtable). Hello,I've created a couple webhelp projects after being told by our QA/Development team that the projects I created in HTML5 format were not compatible with 1.) legacy versions of IE [specifically 7 and 8 - posted another discussion on this over the past couple months, tried the shiv patch to no avail] and 2.) the control used by the program to display an HTML file set on a given [iOS] device - from what I'm told, this applies to iOS 7 and there is supposed to be a new version of the control in iOS 8 that does support the HTML features. But we're not there just yet (still need to support iOS 7), so per QA/DEV request, I created the webhelp projects to see If these work and display better on the devices.I've noticed some display issues when I generate and view the webhelp output. Initially, the books in the TOC are cut off and I have to resize the TOC pane and slide the scroll bar at the bottom of the display window to see them. But when I do this, the button for the Search field in th
I have a WordPress site that I want to incorporate my RoboHelp application into. Is this something that can be done? Or, do I need to do the reverse and create the RoboHelp site then add the blog content?
Hi folks,I recently tried to add some of the button functionality from Williams toolbarscripts to a webhelp skin, specifically the email link and print options. Following the instructions I added the .js file to the project and referenced it but couldn't get it to work. I was able to make the inline javascript option work for printing pages from Peter Grainge's (super informative) website work. I tested to see if I could call any .js file using the "External JavaScript File" function in the custom tool bar item. Couldn't get anything to work, is this a RH11 issue? Any work around for getting the email link url function to work in an Inline JavaScript? Please, thank you, please! Thanks,J
This one might require some back story.I'm working at a company with roughly 60 business units that will each be getting their own emergency response procedures (.FM files compiled into a single FrameMaker .book file for their department). I then want to link all of these books to a single RoboHelp so that when it comes time to publish all of these plans into WebHelp menus I can do that with a single batch generate/publish.My problem is that some of the FM files within the books are shared (maybe two or more departments are at the same location or all of them share the same corporate level plans) so that when I try to link two books with a shared FM file it throws an error. Is there away to allow multiple copies of a FM file to exist in a single RoboHelp? Or is there a better solution to the task at hand?Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated as I am still a moderate beginner with Frame and RoboHelp.---Corey---P.S. Just to complicate things this will all be done via
We are trying to make a help file through Robohelp with the help of word document, but the main problem is the files which are generated through Robohelp they are not proper ID based Html files.so how could we generate proper html files with ID's?Please someone help us with the solution.
I have searched through these forums before and found that by selecting the "single click to open book" option in the HTML help advanced settings, your .chm's TOC will only expand the book that you are viewing, closing all other books. My question is, is there a way to do this when outputting to an .html file (instead of a .chm file), and if so, what is said method?I am using RH11 (HTML edition), on a win 7 machine, trying to create an HTML5 help page.edit: added edition
