I am updating an old Robohelp file to version 9 and I received the following warning messages.Error in reading RHFrameStyleMappings.apj fileOpen project was cancelled or the application was unable to load database for - Custom Casualty.cpd
How do you remove a tab such as inxex or search from a HTML (chm) output? Can you modify the skin?
Hi,My company downloaded a trial version of RH 10. We built a lot in 10, but then, we decided to purchase a copy of RH 9.We were told we could import a 10 project into 9, but when I try to do that, I get the following error message saying it's not possible. Can we, or can we not, import a 10 project into 9?Thanks,Jeff
after successfully creating the .chm file. when I go to view it, I get an error message in the view window stating "Navigation to the webpage was canceled" My contents show on the left side of the window.
I've seen similar questions about this issue but none have really provided any assistance in helping me resolve this issue on my end. Issue: TOC and Search disappear after compiling and allowing blocked content in IE8 browser.
Hi all,I'm trying to integrate RoboHelp 10 with TFS 2012 so I can use source control through it.I've run through this tutorial: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/robohelp/articles/robohelp-tfs-integration.html but when I go to click "Add to Version Control", I don't see TFS as a version control provider. All I get is RoboHelp SharePoint Connector.I've also tried modifying my registry following this topic: http://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/kb/registry-settings-microsoft-team-foundation.html but I get the same results using that.I can access the TFS server through Visual Studio's Team Explorer, and I've mapped my project folder through Team Explorer's Source Control Explorer. I'm not sure what else I can do at this point.Any help anyone can provide on the matter would be appreciated.
HiI am using RH 10 and FM11.My issues with lists in FM-linked RoboHelp output are back to haunt me. I had mentioned about it in my post below.http://forums.adobe.com/message/5097632#5097632Back then, my solution was to remove the " target=_blank from the hyperlinked text preceding the lists and we could live with it. However, now in every FM book we have 35-40 instances where the lists (both ordered and unordered) are preceded by hyperlinked text and it is becoming an extremely tedious job to edit every such instance after importing the FM book to RH. So, can somebody please suggest me a better solution? Solutions I have already tried without success:Setting autonumber to Convert Autonumber to HTML List.Setting autonumber to Convert Autonumber to Text. Creating a List style in RoboHelp, but this style did not show up in the RoboHelp Style list while mapping. Thanks in advance.Sreekanth
RoboHelp 10 stops working every time when I open a checked in topic and make a change forcing the topic to be checked out automatically. This worked perfectly in all previous versions of RoboHelp. After restarting the program, the desired topic is checked out. Checking topics out manually before editing works without a crash.I have uninstalled source control and reinstalled with no help. This did help with placing images which also stopped RoboHelp 10 from working. When placing an image and you click on the browse folders that worked ok. It was when you clicked on the next folder resulted in the lockup ... every time. Reinstalling source control fixed that.Automatic checkout of topics however crashes every time. I have a local copy of my project and the server is accessed via VPN 3000 miles away. I have never had any problem until Robo10. Nothing has changed in our VPN or network since Robo9 which worked perfectly. Also RoboHe
Is there any limit of pictures in the word doc. that the HTML Help could not generate the chm file? It said "HtmlHelp file has been generated" but there is nothing in the folder !SSL!. The result screen showed that it stop at the thrid line "Starting compilation..." Please help! Thanks,CBC
I currently have several standard links to other robohelp pages in my main index page. I would like to change this to a dropdown menu, but when I add a dropdown menu (Insert -> HTML -> Form -> Drop-down Menu) It doesn't have any option to link to other pages. Is there an easy way to do this?
Although I can no longer see the list of topics in the topic list pod when I opened an upgraded project, they still display in the "TOC" pod and I can still preview and generate them. Should I delete the project's "cpd" file and reopen the project locally?
I am trying to install RH Office V9 on my PC which is running Windows Version 7 64-bit. I also have MS Word 2010 32-bit. When I try to run setup.exe for RH I get the following message: "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check you computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, then contact the software publisher."Can you please help? From what I understand I should be able to run RH Office on my Windows 7 PC.Thank you.
Using Rohohelp HTML 10 on win 7Even though I set project settings to "do not regenerate images", when i import a Framemaker file (.fm), the images are regenerated to the FM anchored frame dimension (FM "object properties" scaling). This makes the RH imported image poor quality. How do I preserve the original jpg image? I would manually replace the images (copy and replace) from framemaker to the new RH project except it's a multi chapter framemaker book and i only want one chapter images (which means hunt and peck for the images). Here's what i did:RH file>project settings> import tab> "edit conversion settings for framemaker documents"Selected "Image" and checked "do not regenerate images" left rest default settingsImport Frame document>"edit conversion settings for framemaker documents" and checked "do not regenerate images".
I have an HTML help system, already published on the web, which is showing output perfectly in Android / Android Tablet and iPhone 4 (with the exception that search results are not showing up in Safari, and they do in Chrome). On iPhone 5, the desktop version is displayed. I was suspecting my layouts, but since it works fine in iPhone 4 (excluding the search results on Safari) I'm not sure where to troubleshoot. Any suggestions? Thanks
I'm trying to generate webhelp with RoboHelp using multiple topics in a project. However, when I view results, the titles of the individual topics do not show up in the contents and only one of the topics is formatted as a RoboHelp "panel".When generating webhelp for a project with multiple topics, how do you get each topic in the project to format and appear by there title name in "Contents" as TOC entries?
I've looked in all the sections in the Settings dialog, but I don't see anything that will allow me to make the font size larger. I just want to enlarge the TOC books and page listings on the left. Please tell me that RH allows you to do something this simple...
I'm trying to publish a Robohelp HTML file for Arabic and it appears that Arabic isn't listed in the drop-down box for the languages. All of the topic content shows up just fine, but the Table of Contents will not work and continues to show as ??????. Is there any solution to this issue?I am using Robohelp 8 currently.
I would like to change the TOC topic icon for certain topics within my project. So any topic that includes a video includes a particular icon. Can this be done?I'm currently using Robohelp 10 but I could upgrade to 11 if that would help. The project is output to WebHelp. Thanks!
I just upgraded a project from Robohelp 7 to Robohelp 10, both HTML. This project works with two different outputs: Microsoft HTML Help and JavaHelp. I was able to successfully generate the HTML Help output without issue, however, the JavaHelp consistently aborts at the same point in the generation process each time. Once it reaches the point where it indicates that it is "Generating JavaHelp system," it gets through all of the topics, the TOC, and then Robohelp aborts when the Output View indicates that it is Processing the Index. If it is relevant, the Robohelp 7 version of this project was maintained from a virtual machine, and the JavaHelp output was done to a local folder on that machine before being checked into Source Control. The Robohelp 10 version is now on my local machine, so we had to setup the appropriate location to set the output to a local folder on my machine. We were able to successfully do this, but now the generate function will not complete. All source files are m
I have a Master Page set up with a company logo and horizontal rules, which works great with the help topics. The problem occurs when I generate printed docs from the source files.Everything else works well enough to get by (I have some tweaking to do), BUT every single topic shows up with the rules and the company logo. I don't see anywhere to NOT apply the Master Page to the printed output. Is there a secret to not using the online help layout in the printed docs?thanks,Alia
More and more users of our WebHelp would like to print out help chapters or generate PDFs.Does anyone know if this is possible with RoboHelp10?I know that this function is available in Microsoft HTML Help... Thanks in advance.
Hi. Is it possible to use Content Categories in one of the HTML5 layouts (Responsive or Multiscreen)? It seems to only be availalbe in WebHelp and one or two other formats.Thanks.-Kurt
1) Hi. Has anyone used RH11's Resource manager features to share assets.2) Also, one thing that's unclear for me is whether or not Resource Manager (or some other feauture of RH) can help multiple authors of the same PROJECT. I can see how individuals can contribute to topics, images, etc. But is there a way to delegate the organization of topics (ie, the TOC) between multiple authors. EG, say we eventually want a introductory material, install instructions, concepts, API documentation all in one project so that users have one place to go to search / browse for material. Can RH support an arrangement whereby each of these doc areas has its own writer, and that writer is in charge of his one area of a single TOC for one project? Or, is one individual (a doc archetence, say) responsible for assembling all the topics into a project?Thx in advance.-Kurt
Could someone plz let me know how to create a new style sheet in RH 11? THe online help here:http://help.adobe.com/en_US/robohelp/robohtml/WS38E03F49-65B5-4564-8DF3-EEA1DE8C6B59.html ...says to find the icon of the pad and pencil:in the View > Toolbars > Formatting menu. But it's not there. IN addition, the options in the formatting toolbar only become clickable if the cursor is in the text of some topic. I think the directions must be pointing me to the wrong place. Thanks!
Hi all,I finished one version of my project in RH9, removed it from version control in TFS, copied the entire project to a new folder called RH10, updated the copied project to RoboHelp 10 and then placed it back under version control in TFS. Although my .xpj file is being opened from the new folder, when RH checks in files to TFS, my files are still listed as located in the old RH9 folder on my local machine. I had wanted to keep that old folder as a previous version (luckily I actually made two copies of it when it was out of version control!) but don't know how to set RH10 up so that it is using the files in the new folder and saving them there.I saw these directions in another post, based on a Rick Stone article which I personally have not been able to find, but am not sure if this works for TFS as well. Caution in this case being the better part of valour, would one of you gurus confirm or deny for me please?1. Open the project you want to copy in RoboHelp, and make sure you ‘get’
