The June 2026 update to Lightroom Classic (v15.4) adds a new Faces panel for people-focused culling, automatic duplicate detection, keyword sync across the Lightroom ecosystem, and more precise subject selection when masking. These updates help photographers handle large shoots and organize catalogs with less manual effort. What’s NewLightroom Classic v15.4 is built to help you move through large shoots with more speed and confidence. The new Faces panel in Assisted Culling brings a people-first approach to selection, surfacing Eye Focus and Eyes Open scores so you can instantly identify your best frames. New auto duplicate detection scans your catalog for exact matches and neatly groups them into stacks, making cleanup far less manual. Masking also gets a boost with more precise subject detection, helping you separate subjects from complex backgrounds with cleaner, faster results. On the organization side, AI-powered metadata filters and Smart Collections make it easier to sort, find,
When presented with a New Post screen in the Adobe Community, you are given three options for Conversation Type: Discussion, Bug, and Idea. If you were searching in Discussions, the New Post window will default to Discussions. If you are searching in Bugs, the New Post window will default to Bugs and likewise for Ideas. Many customers instinctually report problems they are experiencing as “Bugs”. It is natural to think that a problem you are having might be a bug. A bug is defined, for our purposes, as “something in the software that is not functioning as it was designed to function”. Interpreting whether a behavior is a bug or not is not always easy, however. Here are some reasons why you might want to consider posting first to Discussions rather than jumping straight to reporting in Bugs: Most items reported as Bugs are not actual bugs. In a typical group of reported bugs, only about 3 out of 25* bugs reported turn out to be actual bugs. Of those, typically 2 ou
Bugs should only be reported for the latest or current version of Lightroom Classic. If you believe you have a bug, it must be verified on the latest version of Classic. New bug reports will not be accepted for older versions of the software. If you believe you have encountered a bug, it is important to first search the existing bugs to see if your issue and a possible solution or workaround have already been reported. If so, please add to that thread. If not, it may be prudent to start a new thread.Greater than 90% of the bugs reported are not actually bugs. Before starting a new thread, please read:P: Do I post in Discussions or Bugs? When logging a new bug report, it's required by the Lightroom Classic team for the information in the report to include steps to reproduce the bug experience. Once we can reproduce an issue, then we can start to investigate a fix. Bug reports without reproduction steps will be moved to discussions. If, after some troubleshooti
Adobe is excited to receive requests for additional features you need to enhance your workflow. What can you do to increase the chances of being heard? Don't use the words "Feature Request" in your post's title. Search for and add to existing feature requests rather than creating duplicates. There is no advantage to creating a second request for any existing feature request. One request per thread! When creating an Idea or Feature Request thread, please keep requests for features to ONE request per thread. Doing this will allow others to vote on a single, specific feature and not confuse Upvotes amongst a list of feature requests. If an Idea thread has multiple requests in it, a moderator may ask you to split the multiple requests up into multiple threads so others can vote. In the event there remain multiple requests on a thread, the first item requested will be the arbiter of where the thread will be cross-referenced or merged. Describe how the featu
Assisted Culling is now generally available in Lightroom ClassicTL; DR: Assisted Culling has graduated from Early Access to General Availability. It gives you a fast, reviewable first pass on large shoots: it surfaces your strongest frames and sets aside the obvious rejects, so you spend less time comparing near-duplicates. You stay in control: review everything, adjust the thresholds, and override any call. If you tried it back in October 2025, it's substantially more accurate now, especially for wedding, event, group, and portrait work. We'd love for you to give it another look and tell us what you think in this thread. What it does Open an album or collection, run a cull, and Assisted Culling analyzes your images against the criteria you choose: Subject Sharpness, Eye Sharpness, Eyes Open, exposure, and more. It marks Selects and Rejects, shows you why behind every call, and leaves the final decision to you. How far it's come since Early Access February 2026: Expanded from individ
When I want to skip through hundreds or thousands of photos in Lightroom Classic (Version 15.0.1) in the film strip I mostly get this very annoying problem: after holding the arrow key to the right or left for a few seconds it doesn't stop anymore to speed through the images though I'm no more holding the arrow key. Sometimes it's going on for "just" a couple of hundred further photos and sometimes even through thousands of photos until the very last photo in the strip. I can't even stop it.This first started three months ago when I updated on a new MacBook. On my old Macbook this never happened in years. Does someone got an Idea to fix this bug?
On MacOS the Lightroom Classic Rendering Area appears to show a non-Retina rendering on a Retina screen. The pictures looks pixelated and so does the brush. Every other UI Element has its normal retina sharpness. Please pay attention to the guitar strings. You can clearly differentiate the pixels. Also the brush shows jagged pixels on the lines. The issue appeared with an update in 2025 and has never been fixed since.
When importing images (I shoot Nikon D800 and D850 with Nikon lenses), lightroom will not identify the lens correctly. The import shows up as a generic lens:import will be 24.0-120.0 mm f/40 Correct is:Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24-120mm f/4G ED VRThere are a small amount of images that have the correct information in the catalog. If I look at the EXIF data from a sample of two files, one that is correct and one with the generic name, both have the correct information. HOWEVER, comparing the xmp files is not. The DSC_9863.xmp file is the one that works and the DSC_9729.xmp is the one that is the generic name. This has been a pain in my backside for a LONG time and I hope someone has some suggestions.

This is core to my workflow, an absolutely necessary feature I use every single time I’m editing photos. In the Develop Module, under let’s say the “Basic” adjustments panel, one should be able to adjust values (such as Exposure, Contrast, Highlights, Shadows, Whites, Blacks, etc.) while hovering the mouse cursor over a section of the photo (in the Loupe View) and see RGB values changing under the histogram. In the latest version, the RGB values are no longer displayed under the histogram while those values are being adjusted. For example, I click the number next to the ‘Highlights’ slider and move my cursor over to a white part of the image. When I press the up arrow on my keyboard to increase the value of that number, the RGB values under the histogram *should* be displayed and also increasing. Instead, they are not displayed at all.I have downgraded to the previous version and the program’s behavior returns to expected. This is a brand new computer, fresh win 11, AMD Ryzen 7 7700X; 3
I am trying to make a print to fit the dimensions of a mat I have already cut. In Page Setup I set the paper for 13 x 19 Landscape, and set the Cell Size in Print module at 9.3 x 13.32, which is slightly larger than the mat opening. However the finished print measures slightly under 9 x 13. I am printing to an Epson ET-8550 printer. I have been printing lots of 7.5” x 10” prints on 8.5 x 11 paper and they come out the exact dimension as expected.
Lightroom Classic 15.4.1 on Windows 11 desktop PC with HDR display enabled. In Develop mode, DNG image is adjusted using AI Sky Mask to adjust hue of sky. Develop renders correctly and the exported image renders correctly. However Library Loupe and Library Full Screen regenerate a preview with a green fringe or halo in the sky along the sky/land boundary. When switching to Library you can observe Library displaying the previous preview, then the correct Develop render, then replacing it with the incorrect regenerated preview. Reproducible on a fresh HDR merge and on separate DNG files. The bug appears to be related to the setting on the exposure slider in masking, appearing with higher exposures and disappearing with lower exposures.
Merci
Is Adobe AI Denoise fully optimized for GoPro MISSION 1 PRO 50 MP GPR RAW files?I've been comparing 12 MP and 50 MP RAW files from the new GoPro MISSION 1 PRO.Without AI Denoise, the 50 MP RAW files look very good and preserve more detail and color than the 12 MP files. However, after applying Enhance > Denoise, the 50 MP files frequently develop visible artifacts, while the 12 MP RAW files remain clean and natural.Other users have reported similar behavior. Is this a known limitation of the current AI Denoise model with these new GPR files, or could this indicate a bug?Are there any plans to optimize AI Denoise for GoPro MISSION 1 PRO 50 MP RAW files in a future Camera Raw update?
tried different folders, always same result. Lots of space available on the drive.A technician did manage to resolve it 18 months ago but the fix only lasted a week.I think its something to do with Google drive as it used to try and back up to it.I also continually get this:When I export photos any AI based edits I’ve made frequently do not export so I have to do them again in the hope it works. Thak you for any help
I’m on a MacBook Pro M5, system Tahoe 26.1 I just moved the LR catalog to an external drive. The picture files were duplicated onto the same external drive. When I open the catalog, it can’t find any pictures, so I show it where the local picture files are. The pictures all show up, but the stacks are expanded and I the stacking submenu is greyed out.

I can’t import anything into Lightroom classic on version 15.4.1. On import the import box is not showing any photos at all. These are not duplicates photos. When I go to import I select a source and then I choose the folder nothing shows.I have tried restating Lightroom and my computer, trying different drives, nothing works. Lightroom isn’t seeing any images on my computer/ drives.
I am wanting to edit some images in a particular folder in Lightroom. When looking at the folder in File Explorer there are almost 100 image files in the particular folder. However, Lightroom only sees 22 files. I've selected the folder and tried both IMPORT and SYNCHRONIZE however nothing happens. How do I fix this?

Even a very small brush stroke (for example removing a tiny newborn skin blemish) can take over 4 minutes to complete. The standard Remove tool works normally.Troubleshooting completedI have tested all of the following:New Lightroom catalogue. Existing catalogue. Catalogue stored on internal SSD. RAW files stored on external HDD. Camera Raw cache purged. Catalogue optimised. GPU enabled. GPU disabled. Lightroom restarted. Mac restarted. Different images.None of these resolved the issue.I also compared the exact same RAW file and edit on an Apple Silicon MacBook running the same Adobe account. Generative Remove completed much faster on the MacBook. Most important findingI installed Lightroom Classic 15.3.1 and repeated the same Generative Remove test on the same Intel iMac.Generative Remove is si
This post applies to Lightroom Classic and the Lightroom Ecosystem products. Camera Raw feedback can be found here. Generative Remove makes it easier to remove unwanted objects and distractions with a simple gesture, even on complex backgrounds. For more accurate results, be sure to include the object's shadow in your selection and/or expand its size. Detect Objects uses AI to find the objects underneath a brushed area. The masked areas will now appear larger than the Early Access version of this feature. You can also circle objects for quicker selection now. We have also updated the spot selection experience to make it easier to manage variations, switch the fill type, refine the selection area, or re-generate as needed. Batch updating is also now supported for Generative Remove spots. Try out the latest updates and share your feedback with us here. Please also include the following details in your post: App versi

Just spend a little time udating font settings and give us more control how the boxes display in library side. Show us you still plan on keeping us around in 10 years. I know it’s the idea to get everything to the cloud but problem is us old timers and maybe so now new comers are figuring it out, we don’t want our personal images on the internet on someone else’s servers. Who knows what will happen and all it takes is a wind storm to disconnect you from your entire life’s collection. Not permanently, at least not so far but shows you how easy this would be to achieve. Keep it local and keep it personal. Let us know you care about LRC please. If there was a single option like Capture One that could handle a 300k library as efficient as LRC, I’d move over in an instant. You should think about that and make that decision a little more difficult because Capture One or someone WILL eventually catch up (I Hope).
It’s not that the thumbnails are slow to display; they never display until they are selected. Images are stored on an external drive. The catalog is on the iMac SS.
