Lightroom Classic

Have been using LRC for more than a year with the same laptop system running on Win Home 11 (25H2). After update version to 15.1.1 in Jan 2026,  constantly experienced system crashed after opening LRC.Tried to disable the GPU processor and update the NVIDIA driver to the latest version, even reinstalled LRC again, unable to resolve this issue. Noticed, working on LRC after each reboot, it becomes lethargic and ultimately crashed out. A search from the internet, found someone having the same exact issue, managed to stabilize the program by reverting back to LRC 15.0.1I’ve no choice but to give a try by uninstalling the 15.1.1 version and reinstalled back 15.0.1, will monitor the condition. Do hope this issue can be resolved as soon as possible, it really a nightmare with no confident in using the software.

I start with an edited version (lightroom adjustments only) of a photo in lightroom. I make a copy of it and then click reset on the new copy. This copy is essentially no modifications at this point. I then edit that copy in photoshop. When I am done editing in PS, I save it. I then open that PS-modified version in lightroom and paste ALL settings I have copied from the original to this new TIFF version. I expect the changes to work but it looks wrong. I notice the REMOVED tool item masks are strange. It looks like the REMOVE masks in the version that I pasted to are 90 degrees rotated - clockwise. Basically, copy/paste of masks does not work from a raw file to a tiff version. It’s like PS messed up the orientation indicator or something and LR got confused?

Lightroom Classic allows quite some opportunities to search in your photolibrary but does not allow a search oin filesize yet. Especially for optimizing your library it makes sense to delete or replace big files. Big files may be produced when making panarama's in .tiff format, or when using Photoshop to improve images. Files of more than one or two Gigabyte may be produced that way.When search for (too) big files would be enabled in Lightroom itself (instead of using plugins to get to that point) it would be much easier to keep your library small and efficient. Big Tiff files can best be exported as DNG without loosing quality really but will be reduced to 25% of less in size.So, I think Adobe would help it's customers to keep Lightroom work optimally by adding Filesize to the search menu in the library.Also a warning for much large files somewhere in the settings the might be an idea.   

I've just taken out a Lightroom subscription.The version of LR Classic available is 14.0.1 which I have installed and migrating my old Lightroom 6 catalog fails:Any suggestions?

First I will describe my normal workflow which has worked correctly for many years in previous versions of LR classic; then I will describe what has happened in 15.0 and in 15.1.1Previous workflow: Record GPS track log with my sports watch (Coros Apex) while taking photos. Sometimes two or three track logs are recorded on one day. in LR classic, Select all images taken that day  load a track log to the map module of LR classic Auto-tag selected photos The photos will be correctly distributed along the track log according to the capture time.  Photos that are not within the time of that track log will not be GPS tagged. load another track log from later that day and repeat the process.  Images taken later in the day will be correctly tagged to the second track log.What happened in LR classic 15.0 and also after I updated to 15.1.1:All the photos taken that day were tagged to the beginning of the track log, including some photos which were taken later in the day and should not have been

After installing LR Classic the app is now so slow that it is unusable. Windows 11, strong PC.

Mes photos sont classées par AAAA/MM/JJ. Si je clique sur le petit bouton à sur année j’obtiens MM et  sur MM j’obtiens le dossier JJ. Mais alors je ne peux plus développer le dossier JJ le petit bouton à gauche est grisé

I am using a Hasselblad X1D II camera with a Hasselblad 35-100E lens. I find that although in filter Lightroom Classic can detect that the images are captured by XCD 35-100E lens, in lens correction tab in edit, when set to default or auto, it will result in no profile and can’t automatically find profile. However there is a Hasselblad XCD 35-100E profile in the list. I need to manually select it and sync across my photos. I’ve tested this behavior in Lightroom Classic 15.1.1 on Windows 11 x64 24H2.

Hello Adobe Support, I’m using a Canon 5D Mark IV and I usually shoot in JPG. I’ve noticed that when I import my JPG files into Lightroom Classic, the colors appear noticeably different from what I see on the camera’s LCD or when viewing the image in other basic image viewers. The color looks flatter, less saturated, and not as true to what was captured in-camera. I understand that RAW files often lose the in-camera Picture Style when opened in Lightroom, but in this case, I’m working with JPG files, which should already be processed by the camera. Is there a way to preserve the exact color and tonal look of my original JPGs when importing them into Lightroom, without any changes to the appearance? I’ve tried checking the profile in the Develop module, and Lightroom applies “Adobe Color” by default. Changing the profile helps a bit, but it still doesn’t match the original JPG appearance from the camera. Is there any way to import JPGs into Lightroom without Lig

Lightroom 14.5.1.1 won't open for me on Windows 11. When I click the icon, it opens an invisible window named "mainwindowview" in the task switcher. Task manager also shows the programme as running, but it is not visible and does not show as open in the taskbar. Steps already tried:Completing all Windows updatesUpdating graphics card driverUninstall & reinstall Lightroom ClassicReinstalling & repairing all C++ add insPlease can anyone advise any other remedies. [Adobe doesn't accept bug reports of LR 14 on Mac OS 26, so I'm posting this here to inform other plugin developers and users and perhaps Adobe developers, if they're interested.] Plugins sometimes crash LR 14.5.1 with Mac OS 26.0 on Apple Silicon Macs when they try to run a child program using LrTasks.execute(), with the error in the crash log, "crashed on child side of fork pre-exec".  If this bug continues with LR 15 (officially supported on Mac OS 26), it could have a serious impact on many plugins. A similar bug occurred a year ago starting with LR 13.5, on just Intel Macs, and wasn't fixed until 14.5. Adobe's fix was suboptimal, serializing all invocations of LrTasks.execute(), creating a real performance hit for plugins that invoked multiple instances of programs in parallel (e.g. Exiftool). A better fix would have been to serialize the lower-level invocations of the operating system's fork/exec system calls, which would still allow multiple instances of LrTa

I just updated the newest Lightroom pocess, which automatically updated my catalog (which is pretty large).  Now, all of my images appear in washed out thumbnails.  In Library, they look like that constantly, but the correct, edited images show in the Develop module.  When I export an image, Windows opens it in the flat, washed out images.  Can anyone help?  I have almost 50,000 images that I need.   Thanks

I have a massive catalog of over 100k images. Most are on an external drive while my current work is on my laptop.I have tried to split the archive off by using Export Folder, but it wants me to select a destination & I don’t need to move all those TB of files because I’m happy where they are.I could export the current files to a new catalog, but, of course, same thing.I have had a couple of instances where the catalog has become corrupted. Lightroom fixed it, but it is both worrisome & time consuming.How can I split a catalog into 2 with selected folders in each without moving the actual files?

I’m a nature photographer and until now I’ve been shooting in JPEG, but I’ve recently switched to C-RAW. I want to upload my photos to Instagram in the same size and quality, but no matter what export settings I use, the image never looks like the original.The only time it looks right is when I set the image dimensions to small in Lightroom, but that changes the size of the crop, which I don’t want.I would really appreciate your help.
