Lightroom Classic

Hi everyone,I’ve been experiencing an ongoing issue with Adobe Lightroom Classic, currently on version 15.2. This problem has been happening for the last three updates, not just this latest one.After importing RAW files, the thumbnails do not appear in the Library module. The folder and total file count display correctly, but the preview area remains blank.The only workaround that consistently works is fully restarting Lightroom. Once I relaunch the program, all thumbnails appear normally.System details: Lightroom Classic version: 15.2 Computer: Apple M3 Pro Memory: 18GB RAM GPU acceleration: Set to Auto File type: RAW “Generate previews in parallel”: Enabled Storage: [internal SSD or external drive] This happens every time after import. Restarting fixes it temporarily, but having to do that after every import is not practical.Has anyone else experienced this over the last few updates?Is this a known issue with Apple Silicon machines?Is there a more permanent solution besid

Mid edit, LR will just shut down, this seams to happen if using an of the Ai, LR pre-sets or Mask features. When reopened sometimes the edit has been saved most times not. LRC doesn't seam to be having the issues so far. Computer Windows 11 is running the most up to date version of the LR programme as I only subscribed last week. I have done all required updates on both the computer and Adobe 

I just purchased a Nikon Z5 II, setup the cloud, which puts my RAW and JPEG files into Lightroom. When I go to a photo, all of them say The digital negative (DNG) file is incompatible with this version of Lightroom. I have version 5.5   What am I suppose to do?

In a mask we can use the Defringe control and it works well.  Sometimes I create a mask over an area using a brush or gradient solely to use the Defringe tool.  Why is Defringe in a mask so easy to use, effective, and without the bad side effects of the complex Defringe in the global tools?The global Defringe tool rarely works well and often it doesn't work at all.  It is common to get a message with the eyedropper that the area is too small or it can't detect anything despite it being clearly visible.  And when it does work you have to play around with the 4 sliders and almost never get a satisfactory result.  And on top of that the real killer is that if there is anything else in the photo that has a similar color (clothing, car, etc.) then parts of that can also be changed to monochrome.I sometimes even create a Linear Gradient over the whole image if I have problems in many places in order to use the mask Defringe which works so well.  So much better results than using the global D

When creating a smart collection I have the option to create different conditions but only to select either “Any”, or “All” or “None”. I would like that for each condition I could select if a AND or a OR should be applied.Example: I want a specific collection where I have used any of my main cameras and a specific lens, I want to be able to create something like Camera SN is abcd OR Camera SN is efgh AND Lens is xpto.

I’m getting an AI Edits storage error when opening Lr Classic 15.2.1 and have followed the suggested fixes and non work. I’ve read posts saying to contact Adobe Support for a tool to fix a corrupt Lr Catalog. How on earth do you even contact Adboe Suppor??? All I am able to get to is the Community. How do I fix this annoying error prompt?

I made a virtual copy of an image in LR and then chose “edit a copy in PS with lightroom adjustments”. When I sent the image back to LRc, there was no copy made and the new image overwrote the .TIF file original. My original (with Google AI adjustments that cannot be replicated ‘cuz I’m out of usage tokens) is ** COMPLETELY GONE **. I am quite beyond irritated. Yes, I still have the pre-Google raw file, but I am very much not happy. What should I have done? P.S. aside -- why would my community page not have a “post a question” button on it? I’ve been hunting around for over an hour and it only just now showed up.

Somehow, I have dozens, if not hundreds, of files appended with “-2.”As in “_IMG1234-2.CR3”And they are not in LR. But they are on the drive as “IMG1234.CR3”I can’t think of a way to find, select and rename all of them at once so that Lightroom can find them. I can’t re-import them as they are too old.I can use the “find file” dialog in LR and rename them individually. But I could be dead before I finish.Please don’t scold or call me a dumb ass. I’ve already done that.

In LcR, there is no preference setting to PREVENT the prompt to confirm deletion from my Disk … or at least I can’t find one.I’m an adult and I know what I’m doing and do NOT want to be prompted every time I want to delete a image from disk.  Am I missing something?If this is “By Design”, is there any future plans to address this shortcoming? 

So I don’t use lightroom for anything that graphics intensive. It’s main purpose as far as I am concerned is to embed keywords into the files. But When I tried exporting an image, it turned my desktop black. I am sure this is probably indicative of a much bigger problem because who cares about lack of wallpaper on a desktop. Preamble: In case this case is a duplicate, please merge. Clostest I did find was this one. But it has issues with the filters themselves whereas I have issues with the display mode and file metadata. Hi and welcome back to yet another episode of me running my head against a wall with Lightroom Classic issues.  Import a large number of images (in my case 3639 images and about 6 short videos).  Create Collections  Spend about 1-2 hours dragging images to various collections  Eventually and drag and drop operation from library into a collection no longer works, just get a standard arrow cursor and no image by cursor. Exit LcR Bring up Task Manager and notice LcR is still running and using memory (in my case 65GB). This post applies to Camera Raw and Lightroom Classic.   Dust Removal is no longer in Early Access status and can be found in the Remove edit panel for Camera Raw & Lightroom Classic. Dust Removal helps with removing distracting spots on an image that may be caused by dust on a camera's sensor.   Once enabled, your image will be scanned, and any detected dust spots will be automatically removed using Content-Aware Remove. For refinement, you can select one or multiple spots to delete or refresh. Batch removal is also supported; simply select the "Dust" checkbox under "Remove" in the copy settings dialog.Please note that scanned negatives are not in the scope of this feature at this time.    Dust spots on scans tend to be located in the focal plane, with the negative and very sharp, while sensor dust is typically positioned out of the focal plane and therefore not in focus. Hello Adobe Community,I have been using Lightroom Classic for the past two years and have learned a great deal from it. I am currently working on a project where I need to batch edit metadata for a large number of photos (over 5,000 images).Specifically, I want to apply a sequential numbering system to the following metadata fields:Title Copy Name CaptionMy requirement is to assign values in a sequence format, for example:Edit-1, Edit-2, Edit-3, and so on, similar to how file renaming sequences work in Lightroom.The goal is to automatically generate and apply this sequence across all selected photos without manual input for each image.I would like to know:Is it possible to create a sequential numbering system directly within Lightroom Classic for any of these metadata fields (Title, Copy Name, or Caption)? If not, is there any recommended workflow, plugin, or workaround that can achieve this efficiently?Any guidance would be greatly appreciated, especially for handling this at scale.

This post applies to Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Desktop.  Feedback for Camera Raw should be posted here.   Update February 2025:Adobe has introduced two Adaptive Profiles – Adaptive Color & Adaptive B&W.   Getting started with the Adaptive Profiles:  Access a profile inside the profile favorites menu.  In addition, there is a new section for Adaptive Profiles in the Profiles browser.  Enable the profile and adjust the ‘Amount’ slider as desired.  Use the rest of the Camera Raw tools just like you would otherwise.  Check out the Help Page for more detailed usage information. For more technical information on the underlying technology, please refer to this blog post.    Please try the profiles and share feedback in this community forum thread. It would help to include details like how you access Camera Raw (via Adobe Bridge or Photoshop), your computer system details, and as much information as possible about

Hello,Lightroom Classic 15.2.1 (on macOS 26.4 in my case) does not correctly reproduce Nikon Zf in-camera presets (my test is on custom presets).In the Library module, the image matches the in-camera look because Lightroom is showing the embedded RAW preview. But in the Develop module, Lightroom switches to its own rendering and applies Camera Flexible Color, which produces colors that are clearly off compared with the Nikon rendering.So although Lightroom appears to support this feature in principle, the current implementation is not accurate enough to be useful. The user is then left trying to reverse-engineer and manually correct the many settings changed by Camera Flexible Color.As it stands, this feature is effectively broken/useless for Nikon Zf files.Here is a side by side view of what is expected and shown correctly in the Library module (left), and what Lightroom’s Develop renders (right). Thanks in advance for considering this bug report.

Ich habe einen Ordner mit 1053 Fotos ausgewählt und die Assistierte Bildauswahl gestartetAuswählen - Motiv-FokusZurückweisen - Fehlaufnahme und BelichtungsproblemeAuto StapelBatch Aktion - Ausgewählte Elemente markieren, abgelehnte Elemente markieren. Nach ca. 200 bearbeiteten Fotos stürzt LR und das komplette System ab.ohne Warnung oder Fehlermeldung wird ein Power off ausgeführt. LR Classic 15.2.1  RAW 18.2.2Windows 11 64bit

When I want to skip through hundreds or thousands of photos in Lightroom Classic (Version 15.0.1) in the film strip I mostly get this very annoying problem: after holding the arrow key to the right or left for a few seconds it doesn't stop anymore to speed through the images though I'm no more holding the arrow key. Sometimes it's going on for "just" a couple of hundred further photos and sometimes even through thousands of photos until the very last photo in the strip. I can't even stop it.This first started three months ago when I updated on a new MacBook. On my old Macbook this never happened in years. Does someone got an Idea to fix this bug?
