Adobe hidden contract is disgusting.

I forgot to cancel my subscription, and now Adobe has put me into a contract that I cannot opt-out just like other companies and is stuck with this plan for whoever knows how long. When I tried to cancel, they are asking to charge me a hefty fine just to cancel the contract. Biggest scam ever.

There is nothing hidden... but When you 'click to agree' to the subscription terms while buying a subscription, that means that you really do need to read BEFORE you enter your credit card number to buy a subscription... See this page for more information, including a yellow highlited section from the subscription page https://community.adobe.com/t5/account-payment-plan-discussions/adobe-is-a-massive-scam/td-p/1309030...

What hidden contract??   The TERMS you agreed to are not hidden.  You accepted them them when you joined otherwise you would not have received access to the software.   See screenshot.

I agree. I got a three months trial earlier. And sure, it's my fault for not reading everything correctly, I just didn't think Adobe would be this greedy to force me to pay a hefty fine for cancelling. In other subscription based services you just cancel and that's that, so I just assumed Adobe would be similar. But no,I was wrong. The reason I'm on this forum here now is to cancel my subscription and pay the damn fine just because I don't agree with how Adobe treats customers, it's just that my account is mixed with another company that I freelanced for, so I can't switch back to cancel it and it's just a maze trying to find any support on Adobes website, hence trying the forum approach. Good luck to you, OP and remember that there are good alternatives out there to Adobes products. I've found replacements for everything I need.

The early cancellation fee is only 50% of your remaining months of service.  To avoid fees, wait until your 12th month to cancel, before it auto renews.  Set a reminder on your smartphone or Google Calendar.

Not sure I follow... So in order to avoid fees you say that I should wait and pay the entire year before cancelling? Then I will have payed more than the 50% if I cancel early. Anyway, it's of no use now, I just cancelled. You can tell the people that's in charge that these kinds of practices leaves a bad taste in your customer's mouthes and I'm happy to see so many people starting to change over to other softwares. Hopefully that'll make Adobe make an effort to get customer's trust back and get to the bottom of the buggy and slow responses of the softwares from the last couple of years. Ever since going subscription it has gone downhill.

We have no contact with the people in charge. We're customers, just like you are.

There's a cutoff point where the cancellation fee = the remaining subscription, but I don't remember when it is because it has been a VERY LONG, FRUSTRATING, and ANNOYING DAY for me and I just can't math right now.

Before you get there, it's obviously cheaper to cancel. Afterwards it's a wash.
