Hello,
I have been receiving messages like, "Your subscription ends in 4 days."
I have a teacher's annual plan with monthly payments, and my credit card has neither changed nor expired. I got my Adobe plan in 2018.
An Adobe agent told me to contact Digital River for support, but there is no way to reach them.
Now, there seem to be two ways to fix this, without Digital River:
- Should I cancel my plan now and get a new one directly through Adobe?
- Or should I wait for my plan to end and then subscribe to a new one on that day?
Which option would be more cost-effective? I also wouldn't want to lose my Adobe ID.
Thanks in advance for your help!

If your subscription does end in 4 days, cancel it now and then purchase a new one from Adobe.
Even if you cancel, your Adobe account is not deleted unless you delete it yourself.

Adobe is aware of the issues with Digital River. See this help page for details and how to continue your subscription:

Over the past week, I thought something was wrong with my installation and wasted time trying various methods.
Today, I received a same email and decided to repurchase the plan from the Adobe Store. After doing so, the 'Billing issues' banner in Photoshop disappeared.
I don’t think we need to worry about the subscription through Digital River, as their business has closed and they are no longer processing payments. They did not charge my credit card this month.
My advice is to repurchase the plan directly from the Adobe Store before your next billing date to avoid losing access to the software.

Hi @Krisatu,
I had the same situation. Today, I received an email from Adobe with a message saying, "a necessary action to continue with your plan," where they explained that Digital River is no longer in business. So, I took action and renewed the plan directly through Adobe. All at once, every red banner in the software disappeared.
There was no need to cancel first—I simply paid for a new plan. However, the monthly price is higher than it used to be... 😕

@BALA2252 Davinci? Escuela Da Vinci? I teach there, I got a teacher plan. It is cheaper, of course.
Still, in January (under Digital River subscription) I paid less than a dollar. Now through Adobe it will be almost $10... Same teacher plan.
