Question

Invalid Card and Postal Code

I am, reluctantly, trying to sign up for a Lightroom CC subcription but I cannot get past adding my card details.

I try to add my card and it gives a warning signal and says "invalid input". The card is a company Visa card issued by a brick and mortar bank, I also tried a company card from Revolut and that has the same issue. It also tells me the postal code is incorrect. It is not incorrect both the format (\d\d\d\d) and the actual code are correct and match the billing details. I am using the correct details, I have checked and double checked. These are cards I use regularly and have no issues with.

My company is Bulgarian, I am in Bulgaria. I also cannot get any access to chat support, every time I try it simply shows me a page with:

Welcome to Adobe Customer Care! Need help?

No option to chat is available. This is true across all browser. I have completed all of the usual troubleshooting suggestions I am not technically incapable and have spent time trying to resolve this without success. If there is anyone here who can offer assistance I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

I think you need to go to the Eastern European site designated for your region.

https://www.adobe.com/bg/

It's possible restrictions apply to Adobe products sold in Bulgaria.  You may need to find a local reseller.

https://adobedealreg.secure.force.com/PartnerSearch

Hope that helps.

there are 3 ways to contact adobe; chat, phone and twitter. if chat doesn't work, try a different browser or different contact method:

chat:
use a browser that allows popups and cookies, and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.

phone:
https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/phone.html

twitter:
tweet @AdobeCare

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative. ie, double check for an employee badge if contacted in the forums and look for an adobe.com domain in the email address if you click reply to an email. then check again and be very suspicious. any other method of contacting (or offering to contact you) is almost certainly a scam, https://community.adobe.com/t5/using-the-community-discussions/staying-safe-in-the-adobe-support-community/td-p/12919684/redirect_from_archived_page/true

Thanks for the response. Funnily I just found a user who posted about the exact same issue in 2018 (https://community.adobe.com/t5/account-payment-plan-discussions/my-payment-is-not-being-authorized-by-adobe/td-p/9902344) it seems that back then that Adobe had actual employees that could assist people in the forums shame that practice was clearly stopped. It also seems that it needed direct intervention from their accounting team to resolve the problem which is irritating given the lack of ability to contact an employee of Adobe.

Unfortunately I still cannot get the chat option to appear no matter what I do (no vpn, cookies enable, popups allowed, etc.). I just wish there was a genuine competitor to Lightroom tbh.
