Unrequested verification code

I got an unrequested verification code, and the email said to contact Adobe if I hadn't requested it. The link did not provide a way to contact but dropped me on a helpdesk landing page which had various links to help articles, forums etc. Any attempt to find a way to actually contact them just got me stuck in a loop where I was directed back to that page. There are no obvious bug reporting contact details on the web pages either.

 

So I've decided to just post here in the hopes that someone who can fix the website or the email will see it, and that if there is a serious problem with getting unrequested verification codes someone will let me know. I've reset my account password and put on 2 step verification etc.

i'm not sure why you would need to contact adobe but if someone's trying to log into your account and you had two step verification that uses your email address, you should take the steps you already took: change your password (to use letters, numbers, upper and lower case and a non-alphanumeric symbol) and continue  to use 2fa.

I have no interest in contacting adobe. The verification number email says
in it “If you did not request this, please contact us immediately." Which
obviously suggests a different kind of urgency to what you are saying.
That’s the only reason why I did contact. Sounds like it is misleading.

The instructions you gave to contact do not work in mobile browser (iOS
Safari). But I'm not particularly interested in whether the site works or
not.

If you are adobe I would recommend either making the contact form work for
mobile, changing the link to go directly to the contact chat thing, or
removing the link entirely - if it’s a pointless exercise there is no point
directing people to contact you and it's a waste of everyone's time.

I would suggest that any time you get an email (whether it be from Adobe or any other place) like that, that you do not click on links in the email in case it is a phishing attempt.  Always go directly to the company site by typing the company address into the address bar of your browser and make sure it is a secure site before clicking on anything.
