I work with Apple Mac OS. I use the Edit function to add text to PDFs frequently. Today, this function results in consistent shut downs. I have re-booted and re-started the computer, but to no avail.
Thanks all for any help.

Hi @NickCwork
I hope this message finds you well. I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing an issue.
Could you please clarify if this problem is specific to a particular PDF file or if it's occurring with all PDFs? It might be helpful to try opening a different PDF to see if the issue persists. If the file is stored on a shared network or drive, try downloading it locally to your computer and then attempt to open it again.
Additionally, could you let me know the version of Adobe Acrobat DC you're using? You can find this information by navigating to "Help" > "About Acrobat." Make sure you have the latest version, which should be 23.06.20320. If not, you can check for updates by going to "Help" > "Check for updates" and then be sure to reboot your computer after updating.
If the problem persists, you may want to try resetting the Acrobat preferences. You can find instructions on how to do this here.
In case none of the above steps resolve the issue, consider creating a new test user profile with full admin rights. or enabling the root account and trying the application from there might also be a useful troubleshooting step.
If the problem still persists after trying all these steps, please collect the crash/freeze logs as described here and share them via any cloud storage. Simply upload the log file to the cloud and generate a shareable link for further investigation.
