Context Menu for (Make Text Direction Vertical) and (Change Writing Direction) disappear if editing

Hello Adobe Community,

Not sure if I am the only one facing this issue, but whenever I use "Add Text" I can choose the writing direction to be left-to-right / right-to-left, and can make text vertical / horizental, without any problems.

HOWEVER, if I click outside then go back to edit the text by right clicking on the box or the text itself, the context menu DOES NOT have the options to change the directions as mentioned above.

Here is what the context menu looks like if I try to edit:

I appreciate any feedback if someone have the same issue, and if possible that Adobe can fix this.

I tried resetting Adobe Acrobat completely but the issue was not fixed.

Here is my system report generated by Adobe Acrobat:

Hi @hamadx

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

Have you started experiencing this issue recently?

As you have the latest version of the application, try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Also, try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://adobe.ly/3UOV8Ri and check.

If it still doesn't work, please collect the  Adobe CC logs https://adobe.ly/4bRsOnF and Procmon logs (Win Only)  https://adobe.ly/42OEseK and share them via any cloud storage for further investigation.

Hello Amal,

Thank you for the prompt reply!

Not sure when this problem started but I don't remember having this issue a few months ago.

I tried repair installation/reset preferences but the problem presists.

Here are the debugging info:

CC logs: AdobeLogs_20240224_045315_036-win-GS.zxp

Thank you

Hello Adobe team,

Thank you for following up.

Unfortunately the problem persists.

Please review the video below

I am only able to change text writing direction upon creation. But once it's added I can't change text direction in edit mode.

I hope this helps in reproducing the problem.

Note: I also tried deleting the preference folder, repairing installation, and rebooting.

Best regards

Hamad

Thanks @hamadx for sharing the screen recording.

I have forwarded this to the dev team for further investigation.
