Hi @Julia31541172rzli

Hope you are doing well.

Adobe Acrobat Reader is set up for automatic updates by default. It does not provide any UI option in the preferences to control this setting.

IT Administrators can control the update settings using the Adobe Customization Wizard or the Windows Registry.

Thanks,

Akanchha

Sorry, not getting it. I am talking about my own Mac, I don't have an administrator. Is there any way I can stop the updates myself?

Easy, just deinstall it and use another one just simple that let you decide what YOU want to do. Just done myself... Reader became a behemoth terribly heavy and slow with tons of features useless for simple reading, takes hours to load... Stop taking our time....

One related issue is that the new version of Adobe Reader has a major scroll bars problem (https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader-discussions/how-to-enable-scroll-bar/td-p/7307609), and one workaround is to keep the previous version in place, for now. But this inability to turn off auto-update means we users are having to do manual reversions on an ongoing basis. Adobe really need to get a handle on both of these issues.
