No internet connection in Acrobat Pro DC

Since last week Acrobat cannot connect to internet (even though internet connection is totaly fine). So today it stopped working (due to inability to verify my subscription) and now it says my subscription has expired. I checked it on the account page and last payement went trough fine on 7th of november. And there is no indication of any problem with my account.

So I checked this forums, googled it. Tried everything I could find and do (currently cant use any other internet connection, but going to try at home later today). And nothing helped so far. Cannot even reinstall due to installer spitting out error p206.

My system: Windows version 6.1 (build 7601: service pack 1).

Acrobat Pro Dc latest version (just updated and it went fine for some reason).

Help would me much appriciated!

I checked the hosts file 3 times by now and there is nothing Adobe related.On another note I did try to install a program via normal installer on other machines in our network and every one gave me the same error «p206 no internet connection». Both were running on Win7 though. Going to try on Win10 on the same network when I get a free minute. Also installed Acrobat Pro Dc on my home PC and it went smoothly. But I have Win10 and a different ISP at home. So I guess its either Win7 problem or our Router/ISP problem (or both). I will try to find someone who is responsible for the network in our organisation (if there is one at all...). Most likely problem likes there.

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. AS described you are getting the error 'Something went wrong' on Windows machine.

Hello there!

 

Unfortunately I was not able to find anything in that thread. Mentioned software was for Mac as far as I could tell. My hosts file is fine, nothing related to Adobe. But I can provide those logs by Log Collector if that helps.

Hi there

 

Please try editing the hosts file in "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc" and removing all entries without a "#" that are linked to Adobe and see if that helps.

Hope you are doing well.

As per the issue description that you are getting the error while using Acrobat DC. To reinstall the application using this link to clean Acrobat and then install it back:

Cleaner tool: https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html 

and reboot the machine.

Then reinstall the application from this link: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html

 

Also, check if there is any update pending on Windows.

Hello!

 

Did as you suggested. Used clean uninstall, updated my Windows, rebooted and reinstalled anew with this full installer. At first it didn't help much. Still I got the same error, but I managed to get into Trial and at least now I can use functionality and do some work. But now I can't figure out how to activate my subscription back. This Acrobat asks for a serial number if I try to Log In (which I believe I never had, at least there is nothing on the Products page in my Manage Account). And I cannot find anything else related to subscription.

 

So clean reinstall partially helped and I can use trial period to be able to work, but got to dig dipper and reinstate my subsciption inside Acrobat
