Why does my tools settings suddenly keep getting reset to standard settings?

Why does my tools settings suddenly keep getting reset to standard settings every time I close and open the program? This is such a frusttrating bug, that suddenly appeared about a week ago. I always have made my own list of tool short cuts in the right side in the order of apperance of the tools I use the most, but suddenly it was reset to standard settings one day, I openede the Acrobat Pro DC, and now if I reorganise the tools again, my new setting are gone whenever I open the program again. This is SO anoying. Please help.

Hi Amal

I have the newest version installed and there are no updates. I don't understand why I should reset the settings? That's what suddenly happens every time I restart the program. It's my own individual settings I wan't it to start remenbering again. I work at a company, and I haven't got the rights to open new account - it's only the it guy. We use Windows.

We are sorry to hear that. Please try to get in touch with the IT team at your end and try to create a new test user account with full admin rights and try using the application there and check the results.

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.

 

Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat Dc you are using? To check the version go to help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 21.11.20039 installed. Go to help > check for updates and reboot the computer once.

 

Also try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792082

 

You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.
