I'm on Mac Air (M1, 2020) OS Monterey version 12.3.1.
I've got installed Adobe Acrobat Reader DC version 2022.001.20112.
I'm trying to attach a PKCS#11 Module, so I installed the proper driver (Gemalto). This driver is located in /usr/local/lib/pkcs11/libgclib.dylib and it works as I can digitally sign a PDF through another software in my Mac. However, when trying to attach the PKCS#11 Module in Adobe (through Preferences > Signatures > Identities & Trusted Certificates > PKCS#11 Modules and Tokens > Attach Module) it's always the same output: "Could not load the PKCS#11 Module".
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Sebastian.
I had similar issue. I've solved it turning on Rosetta for Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Thanks @ls_rbls for the link, but no, it does not resolve the issue. Any other suggestion?

I believe this has been answered before in the forums. I am trying to find that thread.

Once again thanks @ls_rbls. The repo talks about installing Keychain-PKCS11package, I already have it installed and I can digitally sign a PDF through another software in my Mac.
The problem is with Adobe when trying to attach the PKCS#11 Module, it's like it is not recognized.
Attached goes a couple of screenshots evidencing the installed package.
When trying to attach the PKCS#11 Module in Adobe (through Preferences > Signatures > Identities & Trusted Certificates > PKCS#11 Modules and Tokens > Attach Module) an pop up asking for the module path appears. There I tried entering "/usr/local/lib/pkcs11" and also "/usr/local/lib/ClassicClient/libgclib.dylib" but none of them work. Both return the same output: "Could not load the PKCS#11 Module".
Does this provide any clues?

Are you able to describe or post back with a screenshot of any errors?

Hi,
I tried to manually attach a module, which failed but I have tried now without adding a module and seems to work.
I noticed that digital signature is available and I've managed to sign a document.
Attached print screens of the first reported error.

Try :
/Library/Frameworks/eToken.framework/Versions/Current/libeToken.dylib
It worked for me

Awesome, Thanks a lot! I have been going nuts since the upgrade! It also turned off the websigner PKCS#11 devices... 😞

Please use the reference below to get familiarized with Rosetta:
As mentioned in the Apple support link above, Rosetta is not a program that you can fiddle with directly to make other apps or programs to behave or work differently.
You just install Rosetta and it will run in the background.
The link that I shared for you explains step by step how to find out which apps or programs need Rosetta.
If, for example, the version of Acrobat Pro that you have installed on your macOS needs Rosetta, then you should be able to tell by viewing the program's details.
In which case, you can make an intelligent decision to decide if Rosetta needs tobe installed i your system or not.
