I signed up for the basis acrobat reader conversion program, however it will not let me convert PDF to Word. I have looked at the troubleshooting tips and the how to tips but after I sign in it just says this is not supported and directs me back to sign up for the conversion program. I would much rather talk to someone but I can't seem to find a number to call or the option for a chat. I have a PC. Any help would be appreciated.

The problem I am having is that my old computer had crash, so I loaded my adobe acrobat 9 pro on my windows 10 computer, however it will not visualize the item(letter or photo ) placed on the printer to scan as it normally does. In short I can't scan anything as I used to. I need some help. Thanks

Acrobat 9 is not supported on Windows 10. Problems with scanning is one of the symptoms. You either need to upgrade Acrobat, or downgrade your OS version. One option is to run Acrobat in a virtual machine on top of Windows 10. That's what i do for older versions of Acrobat.

I keep getting security setting do not allow an export to happen. I think it is important that this is explained to all purchasers in advance as I was not aware that security setting on a PDF file saving to my hard drive would impact the export to excel

You need to be able to extract content from the PDF in question in order to export to Word or Excel or any other format. Otherwise you could circumvent the security settings that are in place by exporting and then converting back to PDF, which would give you a new PDF with the same content, but without the security settings and the protection that comes with them.

This is extremely frustrating that a common problem with file conversion has been going on for several years. Several threads and forums say to connect http://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf
The problem is every time I connect there is says "We're Sorry, Unable to Connect" We apologize for the inconvenience.
I am sorry I subscribed to this conversion service as it has only worked 1% of the time I have tried to use it.
If you want to take people's money for software, then be prepared to work for it when there are technical issues. This needs a fix and fast.

I have a problem downloading converted PDF files to Word. At the very first step. Just right after selecting the PDF file to export, the error message pops up. I cannot open this page also https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf
After clicking on it a new window opens and says Safari cannot open this page. Please, help!

I have the same regrets! Based on forum history, this has been going on for years and years and is still not resolved. I feel as though I have been tricked and swindled. If you tell me you can convert my .pdf files into word and you cannot and you have not been able to for many years, then why are you still professing to be able to do so and taking people's money. I must be missing something.

If you save a PDF from Word, Adobe Reader will open it. Don't save a PDF unless that's what you want.
A PDF is not really editable. Keep the DOC or DOCX file.
