Acrobat Reader crashes upon opening

Brand new Ipad Pro. After last update from Itunes the app simply opens for a split second and then crashes. Even if I try opening a pdf before opening acrobat. Same process. Program opens for a split second and then program closes. Have re-installed several times and now forced to use a different pdf viewer. Acrobat works fine on my Iphone, just not Ipad.

Hi,

Sorry for the inconvenience.  It is a known problem that has been fixed in Acrobat Reader 19.02.01.

Would you please go to the App Store app on your iPad and update to Acrobat Reader 19.02.01?

Please let us know if it works for you.

Thank you.

Same Issue here, app only opens for a couple seconds and then closes. Tried every troubleshooting option given and the app still won't work on my iPad Pro 11 as well as on my iPhone 13 mini

Hi – reposting the comment I posted above in the thread, to make sure you see it, since it helped me in a bind this morning (although your comment was from 2 hours ago and I haven't even checked to see if they've fixed the problem yet .. but just in case here you go):

Another user posted a comment that seems to work: disconnect from internet
(ie. Wi-Fi or cellular data).

For me, I just put it in an airplane mode and turned off Wi-Fi. Apparently
“fixes” the crashing issue for now, but make sure that whatever files you
need are on your local device before doing so – or obv you won’t be able to
access them. Good luck! 👍
Hope they fix it soon..

Even though I'm having the same problem, I'm one of my devices on another device. It is not happening so what is up with that

that was supposed to say, even though I'm having the same problem on one device I am not having it on another device so what is going on

I'm having the exact same problem you open it up and it immediately shuts down within seconds. I have the latest updated version apparently according to the App Store it may be something with Apple that's connected to the app itself, but it is not working. Sounds like a hack

Hi @ganga38955302rv72

I hope you're doing well. I'm really sorry to hear that you're having trouble.

Could you please share more details about the issue you're experiencing?

It would be helpful to know the make and model of your mobile device and the version of the Acrobat Reader app you're using. You can find the app version by tapping on the Profile icon > About Adobe Acrobat. Additionally, please check for any pending updates in the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android), and try rebooting your device once, after updating the application.

Is the application crashing with a specific file or with all PDFs? If it's just one file, please share that PDF with us, so we can take a closer look. Also, a small video recording of the steps you are taking and the issue occurring would be very helpful for more clarity.

We are here for help, just need more information.

This "instant crash" action just happened to me, on iPad Pro 13-inch iOS 18.5, with latest Adobe Reader (25.05.05) in App Store. I have a brief video showing what happens, but it's too large to attach

I am having exact same issue, same iPad Pro 13 with iOS 18.5 and fresh new install of Acrobat.

I am having the same problem for the last few days.  It is 7/25/2020 since the last update.  I can't access my larger files through the app and have to email myself the PDF's to see the old saves.  Is another fix on the way?
