I am building my post-kidney transplant binder - my new lifeline.  I have found templates, but they are letter size and I need A5.  Can I save the file in A5 so it will print in A5?

Hi @Cher.Damas,

Hope you are doing well. Thanks for writing in!

This is very much possible. All you would need is to print the file and scale it to A5 page size.

You might want to refer to this help article to get more detailed information about the workflow: https://adobe.ly/4cmzDhw

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Souvik.

This is incorrect, I am having the same problem. Adobe doesn't allow you to modify the presets and does not recognise A5 as a page size. Not sure why and very fristrating since it's an international standard. If you try to add a custome size (print dialoue box>fit>properties>PDF settings>Add) it just comes back with an error message "Not allowed to modify system or printer defined paper size". Even trying this in my computer PDF settings came back with the same message.

The correct way is to create a custom size pdf and not name it A5 as this name is reserved. It needs to be a random other name you'll recognise in your settings. Like 'Half an A4' or something. Then you can submit the exact page size.
Open Adobe Acrobat
Open the hamburger menu top left
Print
Select 'fit'
Go up to the properties tab across the top

Under the PDF settings tab along the top, edit the 'Adobe PDF page size' by selecting the 'Add' tab

Create a new name - NOT A5, choose something else and then choose the size 148mm x 210mm

Select Add/modify
Save
