Correct answer Amal.

Using Ipad Air 4th generation - iOS 18.6

Adobe Version 23.10.01

Hi there

Thanks for sharing the details. Please update the Acrobat app to the latest version 25.10.51 from the App Store and reboot the device once and see if that works.

Hi @manak339063188u01,

Hope you are doing well.

The team is actively working on getting the fix live and this will be done in the upcoming updates.

Meanwhile, would you mind letting us know the location of the files? Are they saved in the internal storage or cloud drive?

The problem still persists after so many months. Can you please fix this issue as every time I'm making edits on files I get new files. Thanks!

Hi @Muresanu31372223o6mm and other,

We have reopened the bug, and the team is investigating a fix.

The worst part of this situation is none of the comments made in the original PDF are being saved despite saving them multiple times immediately after making the comments. Once you close the main file, you see some 5-7 conflict files. When I reopen the main file, none of my comments are saved. And I do not know which of the conflict files has them saved. It's a colossal waste of time. I do not use any other PDF app. I read, edit, comment and save directly in the cloud. My account is a basic premium subscription. Kindly help ASAP as it has been many months since.

Still a huge issue with me too. I work on my iPad, iPhone, and computer. Always make sure to save after each edit and that it's fully uploaded to the cloud. Still, I get atleast 5+ conflict files pop up when I reopen on any of my devices, even the same device.

I'm having the conflict file issue as well. My file, which is a journal, that I access daily and downloaded from a program I'm in, gets duplicated with conflict in name of file and ends up having the word conflict repeated as well in each file. I don't see that anyone has solved this problem yet. Please respond, someone with expertise..

Still an issue for me also when I'm reviewing a pdf on my iPad... I've ensured the same pdf file is not opened on any other devices. In one session, I can end up with up to 10 conflict files.

Hello Swati,

I hope you are doing well. I am sorry for the trouble with Acrobat Reader Mobile.

Can you let me know the location of the file you are trying to edit? Are the files being opened from any External source like any website or email attachments? If yes, then in such instances, Acrobat will need to create a copy of the document in order to save it on to your device so that you can edit the file.

The next time when you need to access the document again, I suggest you use Acroabt Reader Mobile to open the recently created file again so that you can have all the changes reflecting on it.

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks,

Souvik.

Hi,

I am having the same problem. I am using the app on an iPad. Previously if I flicked over to a different app to copy paste for example, I could flick back to the file I had open on the Adobe Acrobat Reader and not a problem. It was about six months ago after an update that this started happening. Feels like six months but possibly longer. Now when I try and flick between apps, I get more and more conflict files created. Other apps have no problems but for some reason Adobe Acrobat Reader now does.

Help please🧐

Thanx Heaps & Stay Safe☺️

You are not the only one experiencing this issue. Same kind of device, too.
