How do I turn off read aloud on Android app? I do not have any use for this pointless feature and it is preventing me from copying valuable information from the documents I am viewing!

Hello @Lily22933065xlqb,
We understand your concern and are sorry for the trouble you had.
Since your Android device/platform offers the 'Read Aloud' feature and is not included in the Adobe app, you can turn it off from the Android Device Settings>System>Accessibility>Text-to-speech.
Also, could you please elaborate on your workflow? What issue are you having trouble with while copying information from your PDF? We are here to help; we just need more information.
Thanks,
Bhupesh

This did not work. There is no option in system setting to turn off read aloud. All I want to do is copy and paste text from documents but there is no option to do that as all you can do when text is highlighted is "Read Aloud". This had made the app useless and made me seek out an alternative app.

I have the opposite problem to you.
I need the read aloud feature to access the textbooks for my course, but Adobe Digital Editions have removed it from their last update!!! this is discrimination. I paid for a hard copy and also an ebook and am now looking to take action against adobe for Disablility Discrimination for removing this feature

Hello, Hope you are doing well.
It depends upon the accessibility settings of your mobile device.
You may refer to the link for more: Accessibility — Acrobat for Android Help (adobe.com)
I hope this answers your question.
Thanks,
Souvik.
