I was combinding several .pdf files into one on Adobe Acrobat my iphone but the conversion process of ths job never ends! It's been going on for 5 hours. Closing and restarting the app does not work. Neither does restarting the phone. I can't delete the file as it is in use so I can't access it at all. How do I halt this process? It's been draining my battery. Thanks!

@Angus256912430rbt Hi,

Sorry for the trouble with combining files.

Would you mind sharing a screen recording of the workflow you are following?

Also, any sample files that you tried would be great.

While you do so, you can also try combining files from the online portal: Adobe Acrobat All tools

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Souvik.

Hi Souvik, I may have figured out the problem. Previously I selected the files (in this case images) outside of the Adobe app, and then selected to combine in the app. This morning I tried a different route which worked - starting in the Adobe app, I then selected 'combine' and then selected the files. It worked that time. And thanks for taking a look at this - much appreciated. Now solved!

regards

Angus.

Hi gurble

Hope you are doing well.

Thank you for posting your query here. Please help me with few details to understand your issue better.

  1. OS version?
  2. Application version?
  3. Size of files?

We did try to replicate the behavior on our end, however, it is working fine. Make sure your application is updated. Do save your work then try to sign out and sign in back. Reboot your device.
For Android Adobe Reader Mobile version: 21.4.0

For iOS Adobe Reader Mobile version: 21.03.00

Hi, I get the same problem. Logging out then back in did clear the 'wheel of doom' (which had been running for days!). I tried combining 3 screen shots - got dumped from the app. Logged back in and the wheel of doom was doing its thing again!

I'm using iPhone iOS 15.6.
Any ideas? Thanks.
