The Erase a Drawing tool removes the drawing markups made with the free-form drawings made by the Draw tool. Both tools are found in Comments. Is that what you are trying to erase?

 

If not, you need more than the free Acrobat Reader for Mobile. The Premium version for Mobile will let you make edits.

 

For redaction of large chunks of information, you need Acrobat Pro for desktop.

Hope you are doing well. Thank you for writing in!

 

As Jane suggested, you can use the erase tool to remove drawings and markups. 

If your file is not a scanned document and you need to remove text from your file, you can click on any specific portion of a paragraph, and the text box should appear, taking you to the text editor window to make the modifications.

Adding to what Souvik wrote, note that you will need Adobe Acrobat Premium or Adobe Acrobat Pro to delete text. This is the first line in his link:

 

 

 

You can get a 7-day free trial for Premium if you have never used it before and this is a one-time thing. Be sure to cancel through the App Store or Google Play or it will roll into a paid subscription.
