How do I print a pdf on multiple pages or as a poster.

My pdf needs to be split between multiple pages. It's about 26 inches long. I can't figure out how to get it to print at the size it's supposed to be without it shrinking to fit on one page.

What you are looking for is called "tiling" and can be done in Acrobat or Acrobat Reader (desktop), but not in Acrobat Reader for Mobile.

This help page is old, but applies to current versions:

Thanks for getting back to me Jane, this is really giving me a hard time. Where specifically can you find the tiling option? I haven't been able to find it at all. Can you do this on an ipad?

My apologies, @Ben28679981fkn4 , I was not in my office earlier and did not check the instructions on the Help page with Acrobat, but have now. I checked both Acrobat Pro DC and the free Acrobat Reader (desktop). It's the same for both.

  • Page Sizing & Handling > Poster > then choose options.
  • For scale, you said you wanted 100%
  • You need an overlap, as you'll be taping the pages together
  • Cut lines are guides and will assist in cutting

Do you have a computer? If so, you can get the free Reader here:

https://get.adobe.com/reader/

Tiling can also be done in Illustrator, Acrobat, and InDesign, as well as all previous desktop publishing apps.

I did report the page to Adobe on the back end, so hopefully they will update it soon.

I also double-checked my iPad, Ben, and tiling is not available there.

Hi @Ben28679981fkn4,

Hope you are doing well. Per the description, I understand that you want to print a page in different parts.

As Jane mentioned, the feature is available on the desktop version of the application.

You can install the application from the link shared above (if you have a computer) and then proceed with the way suggested above.
