How do I transfer all my pdfs from an old iPad

i have set up a new iPad and want to transfer my existing pdfs over?

I always back up my iOS devices before I upgrade to my computer, using iTunes. When you then set up the new device, you just restore from that backup, and you should have everything that was on the old device, copied to the new device.
