Android app. New design is miserable. Table of contents and Bookmarks in one menu option is the worst UX nightmare possible.
Perviously it was possible to activate old design but this feature is either gone or moved. How could I do that?

Hope you are doing well. Thank you for writing in!
Would you mind trying out the below steps:
1. Open Acrobat;
2. Click on the account icon (to the top-right);
3. Click on preferences;
4. Disable the toggle switch that says "Use New Acrobat Experience."
Hope this helps.

Thank you for your patience.
The option to disable New Acrobat Experience has been removed with the latest versions. Would you mind briefing us on your issue with the new experience so we can take it up with the team to investigate further?
You can learn more about the newer experience here: Working with PDFs on Acrobat Reader Android: New Experience (adobe.com)
Hope this helps.

Sure. As I posted in the initial topic, it's very inconvinient to have table of contents and bookmarks in one place. I don't use bookmarks at all. But this is the first choice by default in current UX. In previous design, table of contents was unfoldable to took up about 2/3 of phone's screen — now it's tiny 1/3 where I have to scroll through all the chapters, subchapters, etc. Toolbar in the lower part of the screen is useless (to me) and just taking up the space. Overall the previous version was cleaner and more easy to use. Now I'm in search for another pdf-viewing tool.

After an insanity inducing update to my Adobe acrobat in the middle of a trial and this whole time trying to navigate this with its epically flawed android app vs PC integration I have been randomly wasting way too much time in the rabbit hole of fortune trying to find an answer to turning the new UI OFF on a mobile android based app. The answer above from Adobe sums up right there that I too will be finding a new pdf program. Nothing is worse than trusting your ability to complete legal documents in any rational degree of efficiency without losing your mind to a company full of IT developers who seem to not understand what or how to fully test out functionality on ALL platforms of use. Why remove the ability for ONLY android users to disable the new interface?! And to not have an answer after THIS long?!
It's so sad so much of our lives is in the hands of these deficient thought processes
