Hi there
Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.
To get rid of those red notification numbers follow the below steps.
1. Open the Settings app.
2.Go to Notification Center
3. Find the app. In this case, we'll use Acrobat Reader as an example.
4. Tap the Badge App Icon toggle switch so its off and see if that works.
For more information , please check the help page https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobat/ios/en/settings.html#:~:text=device%20controls%20notificat...
Let us know how it goes.
Regards
Amal

That doesn't clear the notifications that just turns off the number. How about a real answer?

Agreed. I can't believe that an "Adobe Employee" could be that stupid to think that was an appropriate solution. I have done every single thing I can think of to clear the Acrobat notification on iOS, macOS, Adobe's website, etc.

Hello, I am having the same problem on an iPhone 14 Pro Max and and iPad Pro with the most recent iOS/iPadOS and the most recent Adobe App. Can you please help us figure this out, without just turning off notifications.? Thank you.

Hi @israel22368436hum5 @Geigel739139 @Der Flieger
Sorry for the inconvenience you all are facing. We are investigating the cause of the issue. Would you mind sharing a few details to understand the issue better?
1. Application version?
2. iOS version?
Make sure that the application is up to date.
Your patience and cooperation are really appreciated.
Thanks,
Harsh

Hello. Here are details:
iPadOS 15.2 (19C56)
Acrobat 21.10.00 (20211020.154239)
Same issue exists on iPhone as well, but don't have it in front of me at the moment to provide version info. I do know I have latest iOS and regularly keep apps updated.
When I open the app and look at notifications it shows it's empty. I have a paid Adobe CreativeCloud subscription in case that has any bearing on it. I have also offloaded and redownloaded the app (and signed out and then back in a number of times) but nothing works.
For me it's just a single persistent "1" showing on the notification badge. Thanks!

Hi @Geigel739139,
Sorry for the delayed response.
Our team is working on the issue resolution, but for now, you can try a workaround.
Let us know if that helps.
Thanks,
Harsh

What a moronic answer. A user above already told you this is not a real solution. One can do that with any app and turn off notifications at all times. Except that's not what we want. We want to be notified, but ONLY when there's something to be notified about. And once we see the notification, we want it to clear, but if there's a new notification, we want to see it
Shocked this needs to be explained to you

As the issue was previously under test hence the only workaround was to turn the notifications off but it is fixed in version 22.01.x. If you are still facing the issue could you please tell us a few more details so we can test it at our end?
1. Application version.
2. iOS version?
Thanks,
Harsh

I have Iphone and issue is still present. I have the updated version 22.0.3 (updated 1 week ago) and I use an Iphone Iphone 11. Turning off "notifications" makes the number disappear from home screen but does NOT in fact address the issue of why the number can't be cleared. Thanks!

Hi @dlevering
Make sure that your application version is most recently updated to the latest 22.03 version. Please check and confirm so that we can test if the issue still persists.
Thanks,
Harsh

This remains a problem still - and we are now in November.
I'm using iPhone 14 Pro Max
iOS 16.1.1
App version 22.10.01
I also have the persistent "1" badge in the top right corner of the app icon.
Like others have said, I won't be turning off badge notifications in order to fix this 😉

Hi @thisismattuk @BC-3,
Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader Mobile.
Have you tried clicking on the Notification "bell" icon to see if anyone has shared any file with you or if you have any updates on any previously shared document?
The other option would be to restart the device.
The last suggestion that you can try is to Reset all settings. Doing so will restore your settings to default values (display settings, network settings etc.). Your data will not be affected. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.
I also suggest putting up a feedback for the application for it to reach directly to our product team to look into it: https://acrobat.uservoice.com/
Hope this helps.

Hello, I am having the same issue. iPhone 13 Pro Max, ios 16.1.1 and app version 22.12.00
The "1" badge is still showing even though I do not have any notifications. I had worked on a project at work and sent it to my personal account. All the shared documents have been deleted, so I think that is the issue (not being able to find the shared document). I can't get the deleted document, so how do you clear the badge number? Thank you, Lynda

Doubt they even care at this point. One day my notifications just magically were working again. I'm unsure what I did to "fix" it, but I didn't do anything differently than I had in the past.
I realize the bug is a low priority item compared to other things they're developing, but it's a big enough of annoyance that people obviously wanted to report it. I'd expect notification badge issues from a random game developer, but not a software powerhouse giant like Adobe.
