When I try and open a PDF file from an email it takes me to a subscription page for Adobe and doesn't give me an option to just view it without paying. I'm not trying to edit I just want to view it.

Hi there
Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.
Do you have the Acrobat Reader (Freeware) app installed on your system? If yes, please try downloading the PDF file locally to your device, then opening it using the Acrobat Reader application and check.
Also, make sure the app is updated to the latest version via App/Play Store and reboot the device once and check.
Let us know how it goes.

I've tried everything I just uninstalled it and downloaded it back. Still end up being directed to the screen to upgrade. I can't even download it locally because it takes me right to the upgrade page. This happened about a week ago before that I had no issues

Hope you are doing well. Thanks for writing in!
The community platform assigns the names automatically. You can click the profile icon at the top right, edit your community profile, and change your profile display name.
For the issue with @dave_5105, it seems like you are trying to open a non-PDF file with Acrobat due to which you are seeing an upgrade window, as Acrobat reads the intent as to Create a PDF tool.
If that is not the case, please share a screen recording from the point where you are opening the file from your Email attachment till Acrobat showing you the pop-up to upgrade.
This will help us understand the situation better, and share troubleshooting steps accordingly.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
Souvik.
