Bonjour,

Voici mon souci.

Merci d'avance

Hi @Didier27957969y6rp,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader Mobile.

Would you mind sharing the files with us to reproduce the issue and take it up for further investigation? This would help us narrow down the approach that we take when trying to get to the resolution.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Hello,

I am sharing with you two files.
The first one is an Excel File with just one number: 1,3 (the comma is the
separator for decimals in France).
The second one is the pdf file I get when I use « create a pdf » with the
Acrobat app on my iPad. As you can see, the comma has been replaced by a
point (1.3 instead of 1,3).
This is strange because I don’t have this issue with the Windows app on my
PC.

Best regards

Hi @Didier27957969y6rp,

I checked the excel file on my end and saw a decimal instead of a comma. This looks more like a system language issue where your system is in french while Acrobat is in English, due to which you experience the issue.

Would you mind sharing a screen recording of the scenario happening? It worked just as expected on my end.

Yes, I live in France so the comma is the separator for decimals.

But Excel and Acrobat are in French. And I say it again: if I create the pdf with Acrobat on my PC, it works fine. There is only a problem with Acrobat on my iPad.

Do you want a video?

Hello,

Here is a video.

First, I show you the Excel file (with a comma). Then I choose (Create a pdf file) and you will see the comma has been replaced by a point.

Hello,

As you can see, my excel file is on Microsoft Cloud (One Drive). So I tried with Dropbox but the isssue is the same. So I tried directly on my iPad. I join a video.

As you can see, there are several folders but they don't appear on Acrobat app. Only the Acrobat folder appears. Is it normal? If I put the excel file in the Adobe Folder on my iPad, I see it in the Acrobat app when I want to create a pdf, but the issue is the same

Hi @Didier27957969y6rp,

To see other files from within Acrobat, you will need to use the feature "Browse more files to see all other formats than PDF." This is designed behavior.

Hello,

I reported the bug on January the 16th.
3 months later, it still doesn't work. I think I have been patient enough.
I remind you that I pay every month for this software and it still doesn't work correctly.
Very disappointed

@Didier27957969y6rp The issue you are referring to is the designed behavior of the application.

Suppose you have a file that is not a PDF. In that case, you can use the share option (Open in another App if on OneDrive)-> from the app picker menu, click the option Import to Acrobat-> select Import to Acrobat again-> once the file opens in Acrobat-> click create PDF, and it should be done.

Please let us know if this is not what you are looking for.

I am not talking about that. I am talking about the point instead of the comma (see my first message on January the 16th): it hasn't been fixed

@Didier27957969y6rp, Acrobat uses online web services for conversion.

So, even after the team investigated it, there is no way for the services or even Excel itself to say that the file is in French, as Excel files do not contain delimiters but raw numbers.

We are still trying to get through this. Since multiple factors are involved here, this is taking longer than expected.

While I understand this might be frustrating, I request your kind understanding and patience while our team works to fix this.

Ok, but does it work with Acrobat on Windows and not Acrobat on iPad?

I do exactly the same thing on Windows 11 and there is a comma for decimal numbers. On iPad, it doesn't work

@Didier27957969y6rp  Yes, I understand, and we have the bug logged. This seems specific to the web services that Acrobat's mobile version utilizes to process conversion.

I cannot guarantee an exact time, but our team is working on two different fronts to rectify the issue.

Hi @Didier27957969y6rp,

The delimiters are not recognized when using the online services for conversion, and thus, you experience such an error.

However, the team is still working to minimize such instances and this will be implemented gradually in the online services side.
