As an Adobe emloyee marked there answer as the correct in another post, when was it was clearly pointed out that their answer doesn't work, I have reacreated another post for everyone to vent their frustration at the AI assistant button in the new Acrobat.
Link to the old post: Re: remove AI assistant button
.... and no, we don't want to change the UI back to the old one to remove it. We just want the setting in the options to turn it off to actualy work!

Hi @tony_72000
Hope you are doing well.
What happens when you try to disable the generative AI as described here https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/disable-generative-ai.html do you get any error message? If yes, please share the screenshot of the same for more clarity.
Also, collect the the Adobe CC logs https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html , Procmon logs (Win Only) https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/acromonitor.html and share them via any cloud storage. Just upload the log file to the cloud and generate the link and share that link with us for further investigation.
Regards
Amal

I have the same problem. I disenabled the generative AI in the preference, but I have no idea how to remove the AI Assistance box, button at the top right corner in Adobe Acrobat. Please tell me how to completely remove it from view.
Cheers

Hi @dcope78 @Robert38337096vrtb,
Thanks for writing in!
The team is already in discussions, and this should be done in the upcoming releases.
I cannot commit the time, but this is already in the pipeline.

Just want to echo the sentiment here. I have no use for generative AI and don't need to be prompted to ask it for help every time I use the highlighting feature.

Will this change apply to Acrobat Reader on my Samsung Android phone? AI assistant is a complete irrelevance at the best of times, and with the limited screen real estate on a phone, it's totally intrusive. Do better please.

the original post about this issue was made in May. You finally acknowledged a fix in the works in July. it's now the end of September and still no way to disable this feature. Are you actively trying to ignore your community?

Any ETA? It's been 4+ months. I can't stand the constant intrusion and interference with my normal workflow. The feature is entirely value-detract rather than add. Some may love it, but make it optional and you'll be able to figure that out. Separately but related, do you regularly host end-user focus groups? Seems like this is an easy feature to test, and apparently, feedback would have been enlightening.

Please, the AI Assistant button partly covers the documents. I don't even *have* an option to get rid of it in the Peferences. I was in the process of paying a bill in our netbank, and I really had to work for being able to *see* the amount to be paid.
And besides, I have nothing to 'ask' from the document(s) anyway, so I absolutely would prefer getting rid of the photobombing annoyance of a purple button.

This does not, I repeat, does not work. The AI Assistant button stays on the top toolbar after I completed the steps show on your copy-pasted reply.
Is there a chance someone can provide an actually correct answer?
