Hi @Afanwi30583546wmoh ,

Are you referring to downloading PDF files from GoogleDrive to your iPhone through the GoogleDrive app?

OR,

Are you asking how to attach a PDF file as an email attachment with the Gmail app?

In any case, both of these scenarios are not really related to an issue with the Acrobat Mobile App and you should consult with the Google Support channels.

If you were referring to GoogleDrive, please review the Google Support guidance below:

In addition, if what you are trying to do is to work around email attachments with the Gmail App, I assume that you may be trying to figure out in which folder the desired PDFs are stored in your iPhone (for example, saved locally (or offline) to a folder in your mobile device, or, saved directly to the Document Cloud):

Working with offline files is somewhat trickier in iOS devices and less user-friendly than AndroidOS mobile devicds.

In which case, you may also want to consult the Apple Support forums for iOS devices. Specifically the guidance that I am sharing in the second link below:

** ALSO NOTE:

That using the Gmail app to send email attachments imposes a size limit to files that are larger than 25 mega bytes:

The link above recomends switching to the GoogleDrive app if your files are larger than 25 mega bytes.

Do you mind explaining in more detail what exactly is the workflow that you're trying to achieve ?

Hello goodmorning,
Thank you very much for your feedback. I was referring to the latter, attaching a PDF file/power point document as an email attachement with the gmail app. So I realised if I received a PDF/power point let’s say via WhatsApp and downloaded it, I had difficulty attaching the said document to an email via the gmail app because of my inability to find it in the document folder.

I have gone through the links you sent and they have been helpful to me. Thank you very much. I still wasn’t able to attach a PDF downloaded via WhatsApp, which I had opened in Adobe reader and is saved in my Adobe folder.

Thank you for your time and attention.

Best regards,
Afanwi

You're welcome.

I believe that is common between different cloud services providers.

As such, in order to work with documents like that, the user must be familiarized with folders and directories in both the mobile device, to include knowing where each cloud app saves automatically to specific app folders in your mobile device.

In the case of WhatsApp, for example, see how is handled in their help center link below:

Hi @Afanwi30583546wmoh,

Hope you are doing well. Thank you for writing in.

Adding to the suggestions shared above, it seems like there is confusion about the location of the saved files. Generally, when you download a file on WhatsApp and import it to Acrobat, those files are stored in the internal folders of your iPhone unless the Save to Files option is used to save those files to a specific folder in the Files App.

Have you tried using this option? Open any PDF files-> click on share-> scroll down to locate "Save to files, "-> select the desired folder to save-> name the file, -> save.

Once done, you should be able to attach the file by clicking on the attachment icon-> clicking the folder icon, -> locate the file from the saved destination.

Let us know if this is not what you want, and we can investigate further.

-Souvik
