Question

Use the ‘Send a copy’ feature to instantly share a copy of your PDF files

With the Send a copy feature of Adobe Acrobat for iOS, you can instantly generate a copy of any PDF file and share it as an email attachment, send it via message, AirDrop it, save it on any cloud location, or open in another app.

You can access the Send a copy feature from the More menu (•••) of any PDF file. Refer to the Acrobat iOS Help to learn how to Send a copy of your PDF files.

'Send a copy' is a replacement of the ‘Share a copy’ feature in the previous versions and provides the same functionalities for sharing PDF files.

Hello and thanks for your post.

I do have a question though as you write that sending a copy offers the same functionalities as sharing PDF files. We used the "Share a flattened copy" setting (settings --> preferences) to lock the form fields and make the PDF no longer editable. This doesn't work with the way you described. Our hole process is based and dependend on this functionality.

Could you please let us know how we can send a flattened copy and solve the problem?

Thanks a lot and best regards.

My company is noticing the same thing. I've tried contacting Adobe but they just repeated the above how to and refused to address the problem. I was disappointed considering how great Adobe is and has been in the past.

Hi Manuel5D64 and  fionaw41490679,

Thank you for sharing your concerns! The team is aware of the issue and is actively working to resolve it. In the meantime, you may try using Acrobat Pro DC desktop to send a flattened copy.

Thanks,

Chhavi
