Using this on Chrome OS.
Unlike Acrobat Reader on all other platforms I have used I cannot print from the open file, really frustrating.
I am on a slow internet access and Adobe's desire to convert every file into liquid mode is frustrating
particularly as I see no benefit from liquid mode.
I particularly miss the advanced search feature which allows searching across multiple files. (A Major saviour
in the "I know I saw it somewhere here" situation).
At the moment not a good experience and am wondering if I'm missing something
Any guidance on this topic would be appreciated.

Hi @Jon Carr
Hope you are doing well.
As per the description that you don't want the liquid mode to be applied on each file, for that you can turn off the liquid more option from application preferences.
For that, Tap> Preferences> Turn off "Convert to liquid more automatically"
Also, the Advance search feature is only available on Reader DC which is for desktop.
We appreciate it if you can post your feature request through this link: Adobe wish-form
Let us know if you need any more information.
Thanks,
Harsh
