Why am I unable to open app from email?

Question

I received a Hotmail email on my tablet with an adobe.pdf attachment & I get an error msg: "Unable to load attachment (fn).pdf." The Adobe app is obviously on my tablet. Why am I getting this error msg? Why can't I open it? & more importantly, what steps do I need to follow to open it? Thanks for any & all responses!

Sorry for the delay in response.

How exactly you have been trying to open the email attachment? Are you following the same method described in the help document- Acrobat Reader Help for Android: Opening PDFs ?

The pdf file that you have been trying to open, might have not been the actual .pdf or containing some content which is unsupported.

You may please check with any other .pdf file attachment, and see if the same thing happens?
