Question

Why can’t I copy text in Acrobat Reader for iOS?

I have been trying to copy text from a pdf document, however I can't seem to do so. I noticed that in one of the previous updates that it mentions copying as being a part of subscribing. Does that mean I am no longer able to do so without having a subscription?

hi Partick28272000gdqu,

Thank you for contacting us. It sounds like your PDF document is a scanned PDF without OCR. Do you mind to share a sample file with us to see if it is the case?

Thank you for your patience,

@Patrick28272000gdqu  and @Markus28341525u923

First:

Click the three dots in the upper right and choose Edit PDF

Second:

Now that you are in Edit mode, you can select and copy.

Hi @Patrick28272000gdqu,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader Mobile.

There was a delay in the selection response time in the previous versions, which was fixed later with the updates. Would you mind checking if you have any pending updates for the application?

If that is not the case, please share a screen recording of the scenario so we can understand better and assist you accordingly.

Look forward to hearing from you.

There isn't exactly an issue with selection time. The problem is that when I do select text, it does not give me the copy option.

@Patrick28272000gdqu, Thank you for the information. Would you mind sharing a screenshot of what you see when you select the words in a document?
