Autofill Date field with specified format

Hello!

I am trying to setup a autofill date field in Adobe sign but with the format 'mm/dd/yyyy'. I'm wanting the signer that has the form open to have the 'Date' field to auto fill as they sign the form.

I current have the field as this:

Date_es_:signer1:date(format=mm/dd/yyyy)

But this isn't working for some reason. When the signer has the form open the date shows up as Nov, 10. 2016. Our desired format is 11/10/2016.

Anyone have a solution or is it not possible to alter the auto fill date format?
