Automatically name completed webform file based on field data (certified signature document)

Hello,

I have a webform that receives many submissions daily, and I am looking for a way to automatically name (or rename) completed files using the data entered in a particular field. Manually renaming these files has become quite a task.

Due to the completed documents being Adobe signature certified, I am not able to use Adobe Acrobat scripts to rename the file.

I would like the files to be renamed in the format "[employee ID]_Release," where the employee ID is one of the fields.

Is there a way to do this automatically in Adobe, or is it only possible with other apps/software? I've been looking into Microsoft's Power Automate to automatically add completed forms to a Teams channel. There is a way to rename the file in this step, but I'm having trouble extracting the "employee ID" field. The "parse CSV" steps seem to require an API, which I do not have access to.

I appreciate any help or guidance on this topic.

Hi serious_sunflower,

Thank you for reaching out.

It is not possible to automatically name the completed web form in the Acrobat Sign. For more information on web forms, refer to the following help document: https://adobe.ly/4ifrI7G

You may share your suggestion with the product team on the following page: https://adobe.ly/3D4M0ln

We have been needing this for ages! I used D---sign for 5 years and this is readily available. All you need to do is, when creating a webform, make sure when you enter the webform name, you add a syntax and put the Data Field name to it.

Example:

Mobile Phone Reimbursement Form - [[Full Name]]

Every time someone completes this form, the agreement name will be "Mobile Phone Reimbursement Form - John Doe".

The Webform will pull out the value that was typed in the Full Name field within the webform.

It should be this easy Adobe Acrobat Sign Team.

This way, if you get hundreds of Mobile Phone Reimbursement Forms on a daily basis and you need to process 5 forms urgently, you don't have to open gazillions of forms just to find these 5 urgent forms. Of course this is in a scenario where you have set a workflow that all these forms be sabed in a Google Drive.
