When sending out a document to several signers, is there a way for someone within the signer chain to add a note to the document?

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the delay in response.

 

If you are referring to adding individual messages for any participant when sending the form, you do get an option when adding an email address under the recipient field. However, the option is only available for the Acrobat Sign Entperise service plan. Check the screenshot below:

Thanks for the response. I actually figured out a way to allow e-signature requests to add comments. Under e signatures, when directing where the signature field should go, you can then go to data fields and add a text input box which will allow each signer to add a comment if they would like.
