Field Name is Already Used Elsewhere in This Document Error with eSign Form Field Template

I *want* the field to have the same name, because I want the entered value to flow to this second field.  While this seems to be no problem to do with a document created in Acrobat and uploaded, I cannot create the form field template with the same name.  I need the template because the underlying doc is often tweaked.  Very frustrating.  Has anyone run into this or have any alternate solutions?

Correct answer

I ran across this in EchoSign when deleting the field and then trying to recreate and reusing the old name. For some reason after deleting the original field, I can still find it in the "jump to.." list. My work around has been to give it a temporary name, save and exit. Go to Manage and edit. It's usually gone from from the jump list and I can use the old name. HTH
