Password protected file sent for signature - password did not work

In sending a document for signature, I clicked on the field to require a password, entering it twice. The recipient was able to open the document without a password. What would cause the password function to not work? Help!

Adobe Sign does not have the fields indicated in your link. Can you please

provide a link to get to the pagein Adobe that is illustrated in your link?
