Reassign signer based on email field in widget?

We have a form that can be filled out by any employee (leave application), that must then be approved by their supervisor, and then after that is shipped to the payroll department for final action.  I've created a widget to allow for any employee to initiate the form from a link on our intranet.  If the form includes a field to enter the supervisor's email address, is it possible to then assign the 2nd signer in the workflow to that email using some behind the scenes magic? (text tags, api, etc)

Not the answer I was hoping for, but it was the one I expected.

I think this would be a valuable feature to have in Echosign and many of your customers could take advantage of it.

The typical way to solve this is with the API,

For example you have a html form which includes fields for emails. When submitting the form you are contacting the echosign API which creates a new widget (or regular sendDocument) using the info supplied by the html form.

Hello jwywal,

Would the second signer be always the same i.e the Supervisor? If yes, then while creating the widget, you can enter his email address in Counter-Signer's field and hit Create Widget. In the preview page, you can assign the Signature fields for both the signer as well as the counter-signer(Supervisor).

Once the signer signs the Widget online, it will be forwarded to the Supervisor for counter-signing.

Hi Rijul Raj Khurana not quite -

1st signer (could be anyone) - web widget makes the most sense, as anyone in the org needs to access this form

2nd signer (1st signer's supervisor) - changes depending on the employee (1st counter signer in a web widget)

3rd signer (payroll department) - static email, doesn't change (2nd counter signer in a web widget)

What I'm hoping for is that I can scrape the supervisor's email address out of the form, and use it as the 2nd signer (1st counter signer) in the workflow? Or something along those lines.

Hello Jwywal,

As per the mentioned workflow, it's not possible to have changeable counter signer for the particular widget created in EchoSign. Once a countersigner is provided, it will always require him to esign it after the first signer has signed.

Though EchoSign doesn’t have this feature currently, but we can forward your request to our developers team to integrate the requested feature in the future releases.
